Does not go to Dicitonaries in Kindle paper-white and does not work as a Kindle dictionary, i.e. Kindle won' find word by denoting them in russian text books.

It is actually a good dictionary, BUT looking up words on the Kindle Fire it is extremely difficult, because certainly when trying Russian into English there is no "Go to" or if you try to click on the English equivalent it takes you to a completely different section. This means one needs to do a tremendous amount of scrolling or using that bottom orange line trying to guess where the next letter may start. This is very unfortunate because I mostly want to use it while trying to read in Russian so I need to look up Russian words, not English words mostly.

...on my iPad. I am used to touch the word on it and get a meaning of the word, if I am reading a book in English. This Russian - English dictionary doesn't respond that way, therefore is useless to me. My native language is Czech. I studied a Russian language 35 years ago. I hate it due to circumstances I grew up in the communist Czechoslovakia. We were forced to learn Russian. However I read almost all Dostojevskys' books either in Czech or English. Now I am in the stage and ready to read Russian books in an original language. The problem is, that I can not find a dictionary which would work with my iPad, because all my books are on the iPad.

This is my second purchase of this dictionary. My first was an earlier addition purchased many years ago during my undergraduate studies. I still find it one of the most practical and best Russian dictionaries on the market.

This is a pretty one-sided book. First off, it doesn't elaborate on anything at all. In other words, you must already be pretty proficient in both languages before using this book. It's not for beginners who don't already understand that grammatical concepts of both languages.

This dictionary is a curiosity only, a collector's item, a souvenir of no practical value. It is interesting, entertaining and often funny to brouse, but if you need precise, well presented information then this toy is not for you. The vendor's performance was flawless. Arcady Genevsky, NY

Russian texts do not link to dictionary. It is very hard to look up words as entries are in Cyrillic yet organized under English alphabet with no correlation to Cyrillic letter equivalents. I would not buy this again.

I wonder what kind of a new word of the Russian language: "аладьи"? Perhaps they wanted to write "оладьи"? I'm shocked. How many such mistakes in the dictionary?
