NOTE: you'll have to use several coats of lacquer, but it does dry quickly. So plan a few hours for your project. Spray, let dry a little bit (sometimes as little as 10 or 15 minutes if it's a light coat) then spray again. The key is getting it on heavy enough to cover well and get glossy.
I even sprayed an old odd-colored ceramic teapot, and a blue utensil holder (that doesn't fit my new kitchen colors) and it went on smooth-as-silk, and you can't tell that the ceramics weren't that color originally.
Make sure you have enough. Took me a couple of cans for the lingerie chest, which is close to 5 feet tall.
