Great product, can't get it locally, glad to have a way to get it. Frustrated that I had to have it reshipped.

I notice lots of reviews where cans arrive damaged or leaking. Here's a couple of tips. You can't click "return" because paint is marked as HazMat, but you can contact Amazon support via chat and tell them the problem, and they will reship. Don't waste time leaving a 1-star review, the problem is with the seller and the shipment, not the product.

Even though my order was reshipped, I got annoyed with the organizational incompetence that it takes to put one plastic balloon in a box with ten pounds of paint, and decided to escalate further. It turns out that Amazon has already been fined and sued multiple times by the DOT/FAA for poor packaging of hazardous materials recently. When my delivery was canceled by UPS and marked as damaged, I found my regional FAA HazMat investigation contact on the FAA website and sent a description of the issue and a link to the tracking information. I got a response within 15 minutes - you can also comment to "FAASafetyBrief" on Twitter, a friend with FAA contacts tells me they have a policy to follow up on all Social Network comments.

If you Google Amazon reviews for "leaking", "dented", "damaged", etc you'll find literally hundreds of thousands of reports, for everything from cat food to cans of gas and oil. If everyone this happens to reports it, Amazon will be forced to pay attention and solve this problem.

This primer worked great on my boat. Easy to apply and sands easily. I was able to primer all of the area above the water line of an 18' boat with one quart of this primer. Highly recommended.

I used this product on the wood trim of my big screened porch. The wood had been looking horrible, and other primers weren't lasting more than one or two storms (this is Florida, after all). But this one did the trick, and the new paint over it, from the same company, looks fantastic.

I used this primer on a teardrop camper i built this past winter. It smells to high heaven and back so open your doors but it sealed up the wood and thats what matters to me.

Use a reducer and watch the temperature and humidity. Use a good brush and short nap roller. Use a flow control thinner to help it lay down with out brush strokes. Works great on my 30 year old 40 ft. fiberglas boat.

This is an awesome primer! Be warned though... It's VERY thick, but levels out very well too. It filled some minor stress cracks no problem. No need to tip either if you use a foam roller and go slowly. Used this on my newly stripped non skid areas of a '68 islander 29.

I have been using rustoleum on my boat for a couple of years now and it holds up very well. The new marine paint is great and a whole lot cheaper than standard marine paint. My boat is used in salt water and it is a open boat so the painted surfaces get a lot of weather. It has held up well and it is easy to apply. I will continue to use it for all my boating needs. You don't have a great variety of colors but they have what I need. As with all painting the prep and the priming says how good the paint will hold up. I used Rustoleum primer and paint both. Great products.

Product when applied, did a fantastic job. Must wait 5-7 days before using topcoat. Took about 6 days to dry at my home. Thank you.
