I used burnished brass to spray paint my bathroom shelf which was previously black and a silver metal cart I found a thrift store which I made into an "entertainment cart." I loved this color because it wasn't a cheesy yellowish gold but a beautiful rich gold. I love how the faucet in my bathroom almost looks like the same gold. I definetely recommended purchasing more then you think you may need because as it dries you will want spray a bit more to fix any inconsistencies but be very careful spraying too much because it can look uneven and almost create a "drip" effect. Its also good to have an extra amount for touch ups as time goea by. I also HIGHLY recommend getting a spray gun, it makes a WORLD of difference. Its almost impossible to always spray with the same exact pressure everytime with just our bare fingers but the gun guarantees consistency and just an even coat. Also, its best to spray outside, the spray has strong odor.

I ordered this in Rose Gold. I don't know if I'm going crazy or something but this color looked off from the start; however, I'm unable to locate an actual color name on the can. It simply says "Metallic." (Why wouldn't a company put the name of the color on the can???) Upon use, I discovered it to be neither rose nor gold. After browsing the other options in order to get to the end of this mystery, I believe I may have accidentally been sent "Antique Brass." Yeah, so check out my project if you're interested in seeing what Antique Brass (probably) looks like. I really should have tested this out prior to spraying my metal hooks. It looks pretty cool if you're into the old patina look, I just happen to not care for it.

Regarding the actual paint, it seems to create a true metal finish. It sprays smoothly and evenly distributed pattern. I believe that it should be held at least 18-24" away from the target. 2-3 coats seem to be ideal.

I've been doing a lot of hardware updating on the cheap, experimenting with the line of metallics. I've gotta be the worst painter ever, but with a good sanding, cleaning and two or more *light* coats, pretty much anything will look good. I credit the paint.

It's amazing what a $6.00 can of paint can do. I especially like the sparkly Satin Nickel, so two towel racks, three ceiling lights, and nine drawer knobs and several door knobs got new matching finishes. The floor lamp I did in Charcoal, and another piece in Vintage Copper, which never goes out of style.

I love Rustoleum spray paint products! They do not cause too much overspray. The nossle is direct and easy to control. The paint issue is just right & not watery or drippy if shaken well. One coat just about does it. So priming & painting all at once is a breeze. I used the Rose Gold color to paint a door for a stencil's background & also to provide a bronzing finish to another darker door whose base color was in the Rustoleum Hammered. All the above pics are with Rustoleum Hammered/Bronze, Rose Gold & Home Accents/Colonial Red. I apologize for the "ehh" cam lighting which does not do the rich colors justice. Bottom line, I am esctatic with the results of this product.

LOVE the colors. It transformed a plain white shelf in a baroque-esque beauty (pic are of the cabinet still a bit wet for retouches, now the "blotched patches are gone. I sprayed each piece separate). I used the gold one for the poles and the antique brass on the shelves).
The sprayer im not a fan. The lids are so HARD to open i broke the spray thing on the gold when i used it another time to paint vases and mouldings. I can still use it but ugh i have to hold the thing tight and make quick bursts to avoid dripping. To paint the brass shelves was hard. The flow is too narrow. TO get an uniform result i had to use almost a whole can. I think next project i'll try the new bottles. Bit more expensive but i really dont want to deal with this old model anymore.
Overall the paint IS great. Amazing coverage after 3 coats. Love the sparkly but satin output!

It is a decent color, but it may do a good fake of bronze only if painting over metallic surfaces, that too because of pursuasive effect of the nature of material. The colour is more like a bright ochre. I found good balance in painting couple of layers with this first, and then finishing with a high shine metallic brass. But that's an expensive proposition.
