I was hesitant to order this slotted spoon, because it is a bit pricey. I have had 3 or 4 different, cheaper ones in the last few years. None of them lasted.......they rusted, had really short handles, were flimsy, and on 2 of them, the handle actually broke off........so I wasn’t saving any money at all. It’s well worth the price. The spoon is solid, beautifully made, comfortable to hold, stainless steel (no rusting), has a nice long handle, and is all one piece....no possibility of the handle breaking off! I absolutely love it! I know it sounds silly to get so excited about a spoon, but if you order it, I’m sure you’ll love it too.

This is a nice sturdy strainer spoon. Nice weight to it. However not sure of heat transfer from spoon basket to metal handle during use,since it is an all metal spoon. I plan to use it frequently.

It is a dedicated part of my barbeque/outdoor cooking tools and never is stored in a kitchen drawer so I really do not care that it is kind of big. I am very happy with my purchase.
