Both the OG and the new will leave you coming back for more. The story is not short on drama, heartache or bloodshed. Revisiting my old favorites and meeting my new ones was better than expected. Once again, the author has created a family that will keep me coming back for more.

What the heck did I just read?!? This book has absolutely slayed every part of me. Just when I thought Rachel couldn’t get any better, She proves I am wrong! I think I would shout at the rooftops about this book if possible. It’s theme is dark, mafia and absolutely steamy. It is not for the faint of heart, but these men and women will grow on you and become part of you. They are ruthless, loving, and know what the true meaning of FAMILY is!! You DON’T want to miss the start of this series, or the continuation of the Eagle Elite generation.

Junior and Serena have been doomed since birth. They are the best of friends, but they have very hard boundaries. There are rules. There are guns. There are threats. It’s the mafia y’all!! I used to read this author a lot. A. lot! Name any of her old books and I will say “Read it!”. But I gave up on her since she changed her writing style. I couldn’t enjoy this new Rachel Van Diken.

But, unfortunately, she’s still pretty much the same. But to be fair, this book can be a good read for teens, her writing certainly matches their maturity. As for me I can say this book cements my decision about not reading any of her books anymore, no matter how stunning the cover is or how many 5 stars is out there... Rachel Van Dyken is no longer for me!!

There's no need to read the Eagle Elite series. This is a new standalone Mafia series. There's a who's who intro if you're new to Rachel Van Dyken. But for the EE nerds who have been there from the start, you could call it a recap or the next generation.

Rachel has torn my heart once again.I was one hell of a blubbering hot mess.
Rocky, gritty, angsty, suspence, love hate rollercoaster ride.
I had to stop, like most of Rachel's EE books, half a dozen times to wipe your tears, blow your nose and grab more alcohol to collect your thoughts, until she throws curveballs.
They give as good as each other. Considering who their parents are. The push and pull between them. They truly love each other. Even die for each other.

SCANDALOUS PRINCE is next. Which is Breakers book, the Capo, the GodFather of the family's Son coming 12th Jan 2021

My review might seem negative in places, but it's an honest review. (Don't hate me)

This book was crazy good. It was nice to see the Elite back in action. It was also incredibly hot. Like, damn, Rachel didn't hold back. In fact, it's probably the steamiest book she's written.

I had waited to read the first book until Ruthless Princess was released. So I read them both today.
You could tell that Royal bully was written near the end of Ruthless Princess. As the stories didn't quite match at the beginning. (I also didn't get the title or where Bully came from) if anyone came across as a bully it was Junior and Selena.
I found a few typos in Royal bully, but there was a lot more in Ruthless princess.
I also found bits similar to previous books in what was said, the mantra of I hate you etc. It felt too familiar. In a way, it was nice to see the poetry of sorts passed down.

I wish I could have felt Ashers storyline the way others did. But I just wasn't feeling it. (And this could be a number of reasons) If you're not new to the Elite, then you know Rachel can tear your heart out with a character. However, you could feel his story was building up to more. I just wish I could have felt it the way others did so I could build on that foundation in time for his story. But that's not saying I won't when it's his turn to get another book. (Which I'm seriously looking forward to. If someone cloned Phoenix and Chase into one person, they would get Asher) (Ever saw the TikTok videos where it says: "When my mom met my dad and they had me" perfect example lol

I know it seems I'm nit picking. I'm not. Because what I think or what I felt, is completely different to what another will feel. She still is and will always be, one of the best authors I know. And not because she is one of the most kindest people I've ever known, but because has so much talent.

That said, I'm in love with the new characters. I already felt like I could put a face to a name. I love how she can bring her characters to life.
I loved how she still kept the parents and bosses in it all.
I'm also excited to see where the bigger plot that I'm hoping links all the books, will go.
She knows how to throw in twist and turns and keep the action going.
I for one, am excited to see where the rest will go. If its anywhere close to how Selena's and Juniors story went, we are in for a storm.

I love my mafia men and women. I didn’t think Rachel could take it to the next level with the mafia. But she has, she has proved she is the queen of mafia and the queen of writing. I have enjoyed the drinking of the wine, eating of pasta and the knifes throwing at the dinner table. It’s like I never left.

I love the Ruthless of this book from beginning to end and some. I have pictured every thing that has been going on like a film in my head.

Rachel has opened the world for the godfathers and fathers of mafias to extend their blood line. But tbh is that a good thing?? Within the mafia there is always going to be hurt, distrust, anger and DEATH. There will be enemies who come out of the woodwork to end the blood of the Family. But will they be able to defend the family and step up and do what they need to do and end all of the rats and rodents that need to killed before they ruin their lives as they know it.

Serena Abandonato is the Queen, she is stepping forth and being the Ruthless Person she is, won’t take shit from anyone - well unless your name is Junior. Then not only will he not bow down to her level or be on bended knee, he will take her on and more. Her father Nixion never took shit from anyone, she has learnt from the best.

Because the family took an oath, no dating is allowed amongst the mafia or you die. But that won’t stop for these two, they take danger on and more.

Junior Nicolasi is the king, he is stepping up to take on what the family need him to do, he will prove to everyone and anyone that de Lange’s blood runs through him but it won’t control him at all, he isn’t the monster that everyone is waiting for him to be. Plus it’s a name that must not be spoken. Phoenix is his dad, he was a de Lange and now he is a nicolasi, the bosses saved him. He now knows everything, before you even do. So he knows what is going on within the family, but he can’t say anything.

Together Serena and Junior Rule the Eagle Elite university just like their families before them did. They will rule the university and behead anyone who double crosses them together with their family behind or by their sides.

This is a spin off series from the Eagle Elite Mafia series which I loved. It follows the children of the 5 families. The kids are starting to take over the reigns from their parents. Serena mafia princess and Junior son of one of the bosses have been secretly in love for years. It’s against the rules and death is the punishment. When the time came they did their duty and chose the family over each other and have to hate the other now. Both struggle and it’s not long before they let they fall into each other’s arms and screw the consequences which are big!

This book is a standalone new series however to fully know the history that is referred to I would recommend reading the Eagle Elite series first.

Rachel Van Dyken never disappoints in her writing! She is definitely a one click author for me.

Yet again a very absorbed big book by a talented author about the on going mafia story of the elite clan. This time we have moved on and it is mainly about the children of their boss fathers. All cousins are sworn to avoid relationships with their cousins in fear of death. Unfortunately for Junior , son of Phoenix, and Serena, princess of Nixon, fate has other ideas. The de Lange feud continues also. Drama abounds as does mystery, revenge, romance and obviously death. Humour remains intriguing amongst the characters, and although very enjoyable, the reader does feel a little like revisiting a previous story. This does not make it uninteresting and because it is so well written and described, does not detract from the enjoyment. Next in line is Beaker’s experience.
