I came back to order more to have on hand. I am buying again for myself, and would highly recommend to anybody.

We have a propane stove with the glass window to see the burning "logs" inside. It's in a cottage that is in the process of becoming a full time home, and has honestly been neglected for a couple years.

The stove works great, but there was a HEAVY build up of the white "ash" stuff all around the glass and inside of the stove. The white stuff had built up so much that the only view of the inside was though a small spot in the center of the fireplace glass. I assumed that the best approach would be simply to replace the glass and start fresh, but thought that I'd check to see if there was anything out there that could help...

DISCLAIMER! Although I had extraordinary success with both the fireplace glass and a stove cooktop, you probably should not do the cleaning in the way that I did, with an auto polisher.

My shoulders are quite bad, and the product information recommended "vigorous rubbing," which I just can't do. Also, it was advertised as non-abrasive, so I figured what the heck. I took the fireplace glass out of the frame and set it on a soft surface. Due to my shoulder situation, I decided to try my inexpensive Ryobi 10" auto polisher, (wax on, wax off... nothing fancy), and with thick terrycloth bonnets went at it.

I wish that I had thought to take pictures before I started to compare with what I ended up with. So easily achieved, the results were miraculous! The fireplace glass looks like any freshly washed window - crystal clear!

Also, the stove, done in the same way, came out looking incredible. The works very well, but that top is a non-stop pain in the rear end to keep clean. Now, though, I have this excellent cleaner to deal with the situation.

I cleaned my gas fireplace glass like 5 times with this stuff until I finally figured out how to use it properly. You have to apply a thin coating, then let it DRY before buffing it off. Then and only then does it take the cloudy crap off. I had to do this a few times to get it all off, there were literally years of gunk baked on.

I took off one star seeing as how the directions on the bottle aren't clear.

I hadn't cleaned the glass on my gas direct-vent fireplace since it was installed over 6 years ago. Needless to say the glass had gotten very cloudy and looked awful. This product worked great! Make sure you buff the glass really well once it is clean to avoid any streaks. The glass is so clean now you can barely tell it's there!

recommended by insert installer, works great but dries very fast, need several paper towels to get viewing glass clean. Like to finish off cleaning task with small amount of Windex to get anything missed. Use sparingly.

Great Product. 100% as advertised. I have had a propane gas fireplace for 8 years and I have cleaned the glass a few times with water or glass cleaner but it never came out right. I bought the bottle of Rutland cleaner and I followed the directions and the glass looks like new. You apply it like car wax and then buff it off with a clean rag. At first, I was going to try it with the door on the fireplace but it lifted off the hinges easily in the fully opened position and I cleaned it on a table. The whole process only takes a few minutes. I probably only used about 1 ounce of an 8 ounce bottle to clean the glass completely.

Got frustrated trying EVERYTHING else that didn't seem to do anything for removing the white film on the glass of our gas fireplace so I bought White-Off. Thought it was going to be yet another wasted effort but to my surprise, the stuff worked! Not only did it work, it wasn't time consuming nor was it painstaking to get the film off using this stuff. I highly recommend it.

Made for cleaning the white build up on the inside of gas fireplace glass, this product works well when following the instructions closely. I have read reviews that claimed it didn't work. I think the reviewers either did not "rub vigorously with a new paper towel" per the instructions or the residue was allowed to build up for so long that it was impossible to clean off. It took me 10 minutes of rubbing and wiping to make my glass fireplace window clear as new. I would recommend this product.

Our gas fireplace is a closed system with glass windows on either side. (Opens to both the living room and the dining room.) After 19 years, the windows were so cloudy-looking, we could hardly see the logs. We took apart the fireplace (not an easy task since ours is a closed system and, apparently, we're not supposed to ever clean the glass) and tried cleaning the glass with every cleaning product we had. NOTHING worked at all. I started doing some online research and found several people on YouTube who raved about Rutland White-Off so I ordered it from Amazon. It was delivered in 2 days. The results are miraculous! We had no idea our fireplace could look so good again. I cannot recommend this product highly enough. It takes a bit of elbow grease but the results are spectacular!
