Like the other Trimmer Plus attachments Ryobi offers, this one turns your trimmer into yet another tool. Snap on the tree pruner, with or without the extension boom, and make short work of tree trimming and shaping without setting foot on a ladder. Aggressive blades work at 2,000 strokes per minute, chomping through branches up to 4 inches in diameter. Because of its length, it does affect the balance of the tool in hand, but with a little getting used to, it works like a charm.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

The only complaint that i have is that you really can't get it up all that high to cut much that isn't close to the ground. Works great trimming heavy brush so you can reach in and saw off the tops of the bush.
This attachment is lightweight but heavy duty taskmaster to do the jobs, well with easy. Easy to replace blade.
Note: Maintenace spray 10W40 on the head to oil the blade rubbing against the plastic housing.
But I was a little disappointed in the cutting performance. I did not expect it to work as well as a chain saw, but I expected it to work better than it does with the aggressive teeth on the blade. It is difficult to get good leverage on the blade while holding the trimmer with both hands so close to the back end of the trimmer. It does good on limbs up to 1" in diameter, but it takes several minutes to cut through a limb that is 3" in diameter, and that is an eternity while holding the trimmer at an awkward angle over your head.
