About S Mays
S Mays grew up in a small rural town in Virginia. He spent much of his childhood building elaborate stories in his head, reading whatever books were hidden around the house, or exploring the local woods. His grandma possessed a bookshelf containing a set of hopelessly outdated encyclopedias, which he read front to back numerous times. He'd make frequent trips into his grandma's armoire, attempting to find the entrance to Narnia.
These days, when he is not working for The Man, he spends time at home with his wife and their menagerie of pets, which range from cats and dogs to an army of ferrets. His interests include reading (fantasy, science fiction, paranormal, horror, and comic books - naturally), playing video games (RPG, strategy), watching television (anything related to superheroes, the supernatural, MST3K, GoT, - basically anything absurd or not based in reality).
S Mays writes superb tales in the genres of urban fantasy, fantasy, and horror. Be sure to keep up with recent developments and announcements at www.s-mays.com, or by following him on Amazon or Facebook.

Blog postHow's it going? Weird times, here. I'm still employed at my day job, working from home. I keep seeing all these people saying they are bored while they watch whole seasons of TV, buy up video games, and create Rube Goldberg machines or music videos.
Meanwhile, it's the same old same old in our household. My wife goes to work every morning and gets home around 6. I get up around 6 (only because our gargantuan house wolf gets us up at that hour), and usually log on to work around 7:302 years ago Read more -

Awakening in a barren stone cell, he has no memory of his past.
He is weaponless, defenseless, without spells, or even necessities such as food and water. Survival under such conditions would be difficult in any situation, but it’s nearly impossible when monsters and other threats lurk around every corner. No fighter, no cleric, no ranger, or druid to assist him. A lone man against the darkness.
He must delve deep into the dungeon’s hostile depths if he has any hope of escape, but no one leaves the dungeon unchanged…
At the age of twelve, Jessica works to become one of these agents. It's an impossible task, but she is fueled by her hatred of the paranormal horrors who defile our realm. Even at such a young age, her combat prowess and intellect are beyond those of hardened soldiers. But none of her skills can prepare her for the tragedies she must endure.
There are diabolical threats even the Order is unaware of. Ancient supernatural cabals that are scheming for world domination, and they are now beginning to move against mankind.
The Order is not prepared for storm that is to come, and Jessica's generation will be the last line of defense against the approaching darkness.
The man with no past takes the mantle of Dungeon Master for himself. Gaining but two memories, he now knows the architects of his scars and anguish. Before he can take his revenge, his warriors must be strengthened and trained. Traps must be laid and plans formulated.
The dungeon is weak but he is strong. He won't rest until those that wronged him and who prey on the weak have faced the God of Punishment's justice.
Sverre leads his small group to find allies in the war against Grigori’s armies. Not many are willing to risk the wrath of the ruthless vampire, but a plan soon begins to form.
Grigori has grown into a new being that the world has never seen. A virtual undead god on Earth, seemingly unstoppable. He commands the most powerful military force on the planet. If Sverre cannot find a way to defeat him before the last of the resistance is stamped out, humanity will fall under permanent rule of the vampires.
Returning to his kingdom, he finds things are not as they should be. What should be a happy reunion turns into disaster.
What will he have to sacrifice to retain his power? Can he retain his humanity when the world turns against him?
The Master enters the dungeon's mysterious inner sanctum to search for an edge against his new foe, but unexpected events lead him to discover that his connection to the dungeon goes back to a period long before he was born.
One thing is for certain - now is the time for action. The enemy dungeon lord made a grave miscalculation by attacking his dungeon. Now it's time for punishment.
The only way out is down. He'll face unspeakable horrors, monsters, and other obstacles as he overcomes each level of the dungeon. Yet he finds himself becoming more powerful the deeper he goes. What awaits at the end? How did he come to be trapped in such a place? He'll have to confront whatever awaits at the lowest levels if he wishes to find the answers...and survive.
The Dead Dungeon series focuses on dungeon crawling and dungeon core elements. It's an action-heavy dark fantasy series where gaining power, spells, items, weapons, conquering rivals, and overcoming enemies is the focus. It contains adult violence.
The unexpected onslaught of an entire guild almost crushes the dungeon. Instead, the enemy becomes yet another tool of punishment. Keeping his promise to Zarah, the unnamed Dungeon Master turns his wrath upon Duke Merromont's estate. He enlists new allies to fortify the dungeon while his gruesome minions grow in strength.
However, the Master's machinations have not gone unnoticed by those that rule. Despite not remembering his past, it will soon return to haunt him.
His leadership is challenged in New Vadis and order in the city crumbles. A mysterious new threat emerges that means a death sentence for his dungeon.
In order to survive, it will mean descending into deeper depths to face terrifying creatures, magics, and traps...then make them bend to his iron will.
After his encounter with Ragnor, the Dungeon Master must contend with being the God of Punishment's sole tool upon Derode. The Master soon finds that he now has Castigous' full attention, and he is not a patient god.
There are other beings of power that have long served the gods and the new Avatar of Pain is an unknown element in the precarious balance they've built over centuries. The Dungeon Master has no one but his own minions to help him navigate and survive this new playing field.
Yet, as the stakes grow, so do the potential rewards. He may find that his new knowledge and strength can open doors that lead him to his greatest desires.
But there's one man who won't give up. He will fight for mankind against the shadows. His massive indominable will is matched only by his belt size. He's delivering laughter and cheer to those who are good, and fists and .44 hollow points to those on his naughty list.
Santa's got a job to do this Christmas, and he's going to lay the smack down on anyone who gets in his way.
