Sharon should have been born in Narnia, but she wasn't really in charge of that, was she? She visits that magical realm--and many others--as often as she can through the portal called reading. Her travels via the portable magic of books help her endure months of Pacific Northwest rain.
The only thing better than such escapades in fiction is creating her own mystical realms. She does that by writing romance, women's fiction and young adult fantasy (and the occasional Bible study).
Because everyone lives better with a paycheck, Sharon feeds her love of education by substitute teaching at her local middle and high schools. Even though she possesses a BA in English Language and Literature, she can be found in math, science, history and English classrooms (even the occasional Spanish or computer class). What better place than school for a self-proclaimed "life-long learner"?
Three cats allow Sharon and her husband to reside with them in a cozy nest (uh, house) near the Columbia River in Oregon. Her two adult sons, their lovely wives, and energetic dogs live nearby. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, hiking, crocheting, playing the piano, traveling with her husband and friends, and coming home to scrapbook those memories.
