5.0 out of 5 stars Use wiring in review pictures, not product pictures.
Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2017
Building an arcade machine. These installed very simply into a half inch piece of plywood that I painted. No direction for wiring in the package but another reviewer posted a picture. The pictures on amazon make it look like this comes with a usb/printer port cable but mine had a usb/5-wire cable. No problem, there is space on the board for that. I connected it to my raspberry pi and the lights light up great and stay lite when you press them. I go in to the controller settings in Retropie to map the buttons and none of them are registering. I check the drivers on the pi, all up to date. So I removed the usb/5-pin cable and use a usb/printer port cable that I have for my printer. Same thing, lights light up but no buttons are registering. So I tried both usb cables. The lights are much brighter but still no buttons working. Also every time I press the joystick up all the lights go out, even the light on the controller board. I had all the buttons wired starting in the port farthest from the usb outlet, so I moved them all to the other side and tested again. Still the same issue. This is my first Raspberry Pi build but I have been troubleshooting network equipment and electronic components for years so I am very comfortable saying I don't believe this works with a Raspberry Pi. I already disassembled everything, otherwise I would see how this works on a PC to let everyone know. Other than it not interfacing with my Pi this is a great product and I really tried everything I could to make it work because I like the look and feel.

This is my first return on Amazon and so far it looks like it will be an easy process.I have attached pictures for reference. Sorry if they are upside down.

I ordered the Pi on amazon just a few days before this and can verify it is a 3 model B. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C6FFNY4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    EDIT!!
After searching for a different kit I found a wiring diagram and found my mistake. The bottom 2-pin port is for a light up joystick. I had that wired to the UP terminals and that is why everything would short out when I pressed up. I wired everything back up and it looks like it is working great now. Hopefully this helps anyone else that is wanting to buy this.

3.0 out of 5 stars ... arcade using raspberry pi and these buttons looked as good as any other I saw on Amazon
Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2017
This was my First time building an arcade using raspberry pi and these buttons looked as good as any other I saw on Amazon. When I recieved them I was a little confused because no instructions or paper work at all came with them. The only way I could find anything on them was by typing in the number that was printed on the back of the board. After doing some research I got everything figured out but two of the blue buttons were not lighting up and every time you tried to press the non lit buttons it would make all the others turn off. I'm still messing around with them to see if I can get the buttons to work but more than likely I will be returning them soon to get another set. Honestly I'm a little disappointed because they do look really nice and the arcade stick it self feels pretty sturdy. If everything worked right out of the box and I had gotten some sort of instructions on the wiring this would have easily been a 5 star product and I would have bought a lot more since I will be building many of these systems. I might try them one more time and update afterwards but in the meantime here is a picture that might help some people out.

4.0 out of 5 stars They feel great and works perfect for my build
Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2018
Had one button with an LED out.
Besides that everything was in the kit. And works great.
Just wish there was a paper with instructions to wire all together. “I just used the customer pictures”
Easier than trying to find the link they have.

Emailed them to get a replacement button; wasn’t a problem and it’s on the way.
    Great customer service!
