When Harrison's mother sets the two of them up on a blind date, Amanda doesn't care what the man looks like as long as he'll be her emergency date to the big family event. Harrison is tired of his mother's meddling and decides to teach her a lesson. But that's before he actually sees Amanda.
The backdrop of Amanda's perfume business sets the tone for the sensuality that runs through this book. If you like a hot, sensual read, this is your book. I especially liked how all the characters were deep and two dimensional, even the secondary ones: Amanda's friend Nicole and Harrison's friend, Steve. Add Harrison's meddling mom, and you have a winner of a book. You can almost smell the pheromones through the pages.
Great fun to read, this novel crackles with delicious sexual tension and humour. Joan Reeves has a flair for snappy dialogue and creating characters that come alive on the page. Vivid descriptions make you feel like you're in the room watching it all unfold. A satisfying romance.
