Bought a pair of these at Harbor Frt years ago but haven’t seen them there since. I’ve tried to look for similar scissors online but I didn’t know what key words to use. Forged carbon steel (way too fancy); SPEAR - the name stamped on the old pair… useless; bonsai scissor results are unnecessarily expensive with extras and unneeded features. I only paid like, maybe $8, couldn’t have been more than five ago, so there was no way I was going to pay more than twice that. Finally my efforts were victorious! This 3-pack of “Chinese Scissors” (yes, they are just called Chinese Scissors. Sometimes, Famous Chinese Scissors) is an amazing price. The largest pair was a little too big for me, my husband wanted them for his toolbox. The medium sized ones are the ones I was trying to replace. I use these for everything, mostly gardening. And the smallest pair (be still my beating heart) are so cute and perfect for my sewing basket.
All 3 pairs felt high quality, blare sharp, rivets good, cut smooth, not rusty and not oily. Might have to buy another set a toss all the plastic handled scissors around the house. Gasp!
