-- I received an advance complimentary copy of this book and am delighted to offer this review.
I loved the book!
Sloan + Connor meet at a hit and run accident.
The attraction + chemistry were there.
What start out as a fling turn into something both of them could not escape.
I loved the storytelling + the characters.
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
What I like about her writting skill is that she takes time to develop her characters, so when you read her stories, it actually flows. And generally it’s because I’m falling dead of sleep that I put one of her books down, otherwise it’s an all-night read.
Here it was the same. The characters have depths and dimension. An intense chimistry. And I felt like I’m in the book leaving what’s they are going through with them, not reading about them. She is one of those author that makes me cry and laugh with her personages.
I loved Connor. He is at a crossroad in his life. His past is eating him up from the inside, while he is trying to deal with work related decision which will impact in his futur, while also being irresistibly attracted by a beautiful woman, Sloane.
Sloane was an excellent counter part for Connor. She is strong and independent. She has her own personal issues. But both actually got stronger together by sharing their fears.
I was a bit disappointed with the way it ended. Not because of the event but because i didn’t have any further eyesight in how Connor would deal with this development later on. I felt hungry for a long (very long) epilogue. Or maybe a few more chapters set up a while later in their lives. Ahahaha with Mrs Reasor, more is always better. I would not say no if she was writing again about those two.
