Probably the only con I have with these bulbs is how much of a pain it is to install on the passenger side of our 2016 Honda Pilot. But it’s not really the bulb’s fault. The wiring is so short that you have to connect the harness by feel with one hand. After a few minutes, it’s amazing how you can adapt to this difficult condition. The driver’s side is easy. Once I thought I had everything hooked up, test firing them didn’t fire the passenger side so I had to redo it again. Turned out, I just had to make sure the harness really lock into place. Once everything was working, that’s when the magic happens.
These bulbs transformed our Pilot into a modern vehicle with the proper lighting. I was skeptical about using LED bulbs for headlights because of a bad experience I had a year ago with a pair of bulbs I bought somewhere else. But the Sealight X3 is the real deal. The road lit up brighter than the already awesome halogen bulbs. All my worries went away. The beam pattern is as perfect as with the halogens except whiter and brighter. There are absolutely no dead spots on the ground. The light reaches a bit farther than the halogens. Glare is also not a problem. You can hear the fan very faintly when I shut off the engine but that was expected. I didn’t notice any interference with radio so that’s a plus. My only problem now is whether to replace the fog light bulbs to match headlights, but the halogens usually do better in the fog at night than LEDs.
I added pictures of the halogen beam pattern (yellowing) for comparison. You’ll know from my pictures which ones are with the Sealight X3 LED bulbs.
PS: I forgot to mention that the fog lights were on with the halogen headlights in the street level comparison pics. I didn’t include the picture of the LED headlights with the fog lights because the yellow lights don’t match the new bulbs.
