Samantha Smith was looking for an adventure, she needes to leave her family nest and do something for herself. When she saw the Base Camp reality show on tv, she was captivated by what they were doing and there was one SEAL who caught her attention.
It was none other than Harris Wentworth, when she saw an opportunity to do something bold, she decided to take a leap a faith and signed up to be the backup bride to marry Clay. She got word that Clay and Nora finally married and that she would be marrying Curtis Llyod.
She wasn't aware that the man didn't want to marry her until she reached in Chance Creek, Montana. When she found out it was a shock, it make her feel insecure.
Hawk couldn't bear the thought of Sam fallin in love with someone else, he was prepared to leave Base Camp. What he didn't expected was to find himself making a life changing decision.
A decision that took Sam by surprise as well as Hawk, he decided there and then that Sam was going to marry him. To say that Sam was relieved would be an understatement.
Both Harris and Sam were deprived of so many things when they were growing up, now they wanted them and together they were going to make sure they had all their hearts desires.
They got married, yup Harris broke all the rules and the show didn't filmed it. When everyone back at Base Camp found out well let's just say that all hell broke loose. Come what may, Sam was going to fight for her love.
She lost her heart to Harris a long time ago and when they found themselves in a tight spot, the man she loved was doubting her. Yet she never gave up on them, as she faced off with her famous parents, Harris and everyone at Base Camp were ther for Sam.
He finally understood what loving someone unconditionally meant. It was great to catch up with previous characters and meet new ones. Love the bond between the Women of Westfield, the men of Base Camp have a strong bond also.
A SEAL'S PLEDGE, the third installment in Cora Seton's SEALS OF CHANCE CREEK series was exquisitely endearing. Mrs Seton did an amazing job...Two thumbs up.
Can't wait for Jericho's book, A SEAL'S CONSENT next! ;)
****ARC given in exchange for an honest review.****
Each time Ms. Seton adds to her sustainable community and the home of her lovely Jane Austen devotees, we find a new layer of not only love and joy, but conflict and hardship. Each of these characters comes with their own set of circumstances and backstories, some of them rather painful and frightening. But she draws us into these lives and this community, not only to see the love bloom between unlikely candidates for the unions that must take place in order for them to keep their happy homes, but we learn something new about sustainable communities, the hardships of living in an Austenian era, and the way that the two worlds can combine to become a place of unification.
No one writes romance quite like this author, and she gives us the most fulfilling HEA. And when her books are from a series like these, we are left excited for the next one in the series. With all of the secrets being exchanged concerning Savannah, I can’t wait to see what happens with her and Jericho.
