So this right here would be a 12 volt switch. What it does is allow for the interruption of an electrical circuit. And it's a surface-mount which means you can just screw or glue the thing onto almost anything.

As far as switchiness, it's very switchified. When it switches it really switches with a quickness. You don't have to do it twice, it always works on the first try. You can feel it switching, it's very tactile. It gives you a sense of confidence that pervades your life and makes you walk this land like a God.

As far as form and visual design, it's kinda reaching for retro but not really making it so it kinda looks stupid. It would be nice to have more choices for single-pole surface-mounted 12 volt switches. But this here is a switch for sure and that's what you need so go ahead and buy a few of them. Actually what we need is the seller to give us a discount on a 5-pack of these.

Seems well made. It makes a nice solid click when you turn it on and off. The white plastic case can be removed if needed. I installed one without and one with the case. Both work perfectly.

Positive throw and gratifyingly clicky. Knockouts at all four corners, although they are a little thick - I had to use more pressure with a razor knife than I'd like to.

Not sure what the waterproof review questions are about. AFAIK it doesn't claim to be weather/waterproof.

Surface mounted switch with no bottom. Requires adding a bottom for switch wires to exit or drilling a hole on the end and adding a grommet for switch wires to exit. Potential safety hazard if not enclosed depending upon application.

Electrical ratings on package are wrong.
Packaging says toggle switch is 3A @ 125VAC. Switch itself says 3A@250VAC and 6A@125VAC

Now that you know what to actually expect you can decide whether to buy it or not.
