1. Determine the Backset

Use the installation template or a ruler to determine if your backset is 2-3/8" or 2 3/4".

2. Install the Deadbolt

Install the deadbolt in the door with the TOP sign facing up. Make sure the deadbolt is retracted.

3. Install the Touchpad

Ensure the flat bar spindle is inserted vertically through the spindle slot.

4. Install the Mounting Plate

On the interior, place the mounting plate and install 2 mounting screws.

4. Set the Calibration Switch

Adjust calibration for Right Hinge or Left Hinge door.

Note:

a. Set the toggle button to L or R on the interior assembly

b. Thumb turn is facing UP

5. Connect the Cable

Align and place the interior assembly on the mounting plate.

6. Install the screws

Install 4 shorter screws to secure the internal assembly onto the plate.

Install 4 AA batteries (included).

7. Test the Lock

Test the thumb turn. Unlock the lock using the default code and press the silver button to lock.

Not Able pair with App

The App constant fails to pair. It is not the app, it's the Securam EOS. Called customer support and they confirm a hardware issue. A new one is being sent. But its keypad and fingerprint work like a charm and are easy to install and Tech support is outstanding. I think the box may have been miss-handled during warehouse or shipping with Amazon. I strongly would recommend buying directly from Securam.
Update 3/16/22:
After arrival of new lock and before install on the door and pop-in the batteries, the lock continued not to pair. Again tech support was there with me back and forth for over an hour. Following morning I decided to give it one more chance to pair with my phone. Delete app, re-installed app, reset lock to factory setting and by the grace of the lock gods, it paired. So far still paired and works great. Not the Securam Guard app need some improvement. I do like the notification when door is unlocked. I also like the one touch open/ lock feature, but it can be more user friendly. Plus the pairing issue is a nightmare. But once paired it's good to go.
EOS is made of solid steel material, hidden key entry is a cool back up, 9 volt jump start is a plus, and bio finger pad works like charm. Oh and it speaks when door is lock and tells you if print fail. For example; finger is wet from rain it will not unlock the door. But you can still lock your door if fingers are wet. Hope this review helps.

Not sure why everyone else is complaining

Not entire sure why everyone else is complaining, I was sceptical and had my doubts by all the reviews on the product but it's been wonderful to install, took me like ten minutes, only problem I have is on one of my doors the magnetic strip keeps saying the door is open when in reality it's closed. Not a huge biggie, works fine still and love the locks, setup for wireless took me all but 30 seconds no hiccups and the locks work perfect.

EDIT: It hit 72 degrees outside today and the lock completely spazzed out couldn't control it and killed the battery clocking random stuff.

I just received and installed it a couple days ago. It works as advertised but I found it disappointing. The install instructions & setup were difficult. Establishing myself as a user was also a challenge and the user app is not very user friendly. I’m still trying to figure out how to establish my wife as a user so she can use the lock and the app. So far the finger print function works well but the keypad numerals are small, hard to see, and not lighted for impossible evening use. I think I’ll return the lock and order a different brand.

Nice solid build quality you’d want from a deadbolt lock. The touchpad and fingerprint scanner is very responsive and has a nice design. The gloss black pad on the matte black looks great and the numbers are in sort of an Art Deco font of which I really like. Battery life so far has also been great—haven’t had to change them yet and it’s been months since owning it. I do hope there is some fair warning notification for when the battery gets low… I guess I’ll find out. The app is pretty straightforward too—easy to add other users and control the lock remotely. The only thing I wish is that it had status icon display on the inside of lock instead of just on the outside (front) panel…

Disappointing constant gliches

Love this product. Needed something for my child to get into the house without the worry of losing keys. Easy to install and Easy to follow instructions on setting up Wi-Fi and additional users. My only qualm, is that it didn't come with written instructions on how to install. The manufacturer does have a video on the website with step by step instructions. The app gives step instructions on the digital aspect of the install. Great product and less expensive compared to similar locks at Home Depot and Lowes.

update: 4/6/22 1834: I installed the lock this morning it was working perfectly. My door receives direct sunlight all afternoon. I live in Miami, FL, its pretty hot (95F). The all digital processes, finger scan and keypad entry went haywire. The machine couldn't decide what it wanted to do. I stood in front of it giving it shade and fanned it to cool it off. Then it was able to scan my finger to unlock the door. I still haven't figured out how to open the hidden door.

I installed Securam EOS two days ago, and so far, everything is working perfectly. The installation went well, fairly typical. The “open/closed” door sensor (magnet) is a bit odd, but it seems to work. The feature are great. Hope the WiFi integrity holds up! Only two suggestions… larger numbers on the data entry screen and louder audio. Guess my age is showing! I would recommend this smart WiFi lock.
