Otherwise, at least consider getting a proper HBA (e.g. an LSI 9207-8i, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0085FT2JC — avoid the cheap, junk cards that have the same bandwidth problems as this critter) and some sort of form-factor adapters that allow you to connect m.2 devices using standard SATA cables (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LBD3HBB)... which, ironically, will cost about the same as this card, but with a MUCH higher quality HBA.
(Disclaimer: I have not actually used this card, but the numbers speak for themselves.)
