It cleans up nicely. I would suggest buying a black one instead of Red as it does discolor slightly with use.
Does this work YES. You do need to read the directions but there are several things it says that don't work and also other review that say a few things that haven't read the directions.
First of all the manuals says to "Preheat" the gill 10 to 12 minutes. In other parts only 5 minutes. I say go for 15 minutes you get better results.
Second some reviewers expected this to be smokeless. Right away in the first few pages it says it will smoke and that smoke is needed to give it that grilled taste. In that respect it works it does give items that grilled flavor.
Third and this is why it only gets one star from me. This is NOT in the directions. BEFORE you assemble the grill fully put several layers of foil in the main bowl of the grill. Be sure to leave the hole open. Then wrap the circular leg base of the heat cone in foil. Take care it is just the base and does not interfere with the vents or sides of it. This is to aid in cleaning. Using the foil to cover the bottom of the grill and the heat circular cone base will speed up cleaning 1,000%. I had to look for directions on how to remove burned carbon from pans (boiled white vinegar and baking soda then soaked over night and then scrubbed away).
Good luck with yours. I would recommend this to any one.
