Very interesting piece and sturdy too. Our Superman Room needed a phone booth and our movies needed a home. I love the look. The top is flat so I am able to set a lamp on top and no longer need the side table. Pros: Instructions for assembly were fabulous. Every piece was marked and easily identified. Sturdy piece of furniture for the price. Cons: assembling the door was a bit tricky for me. It does not seem to be quite square to the booth so it catches a bit. Wish the shelves were adjustable since some of my old VHS cases do not fit standing up. Can get 2 rows on one shelf but can't see what is on the back row without taking out front movies. Perhaps if the back of the booth was like the sides and front so you could see in and the base swiveled 360 degrees, I would have given this 5 stars.

We purchased this item because we thought it would look good in our upstairs gameroom with a travel theme that displays items from our world travels. This item really looks nice. The problem is that it is not very convenient when it comes to function. The way you store your media in this storage cabinet will not be very convenient when trying to access the CDs or DVDs. You have to file them in double rows or stacks, so imagine trying to find a movie or cd in a back row or stack. You would have to begin removing the media in front to try and find something in the back. You will not be able to see all your media at a glance to pick a cd/dvd. You will have to move media around to be able to see the what is behind it. Very poor design. Who wants to be removing or shifting media around to try to find something? Not me. Its basically a shelving cabinet (not specifically designed for CD/DVD storage). I can't stand having to move stuff around to find what I am looking for, so I suppose we will store other stuff in it and get a cabinet specifically designed to store music and movies.

This is a great DVD storage system. It has taken some abuse from my 18 month old son, we put a lock on it to keep him out, and he yanks the door every day multiple times a day. My one complaint is that to store the DVDs you have to store them in two rows one in front of the other. We don't always watch all our DVDs though so its no big deal. Plus the top and bottom shelves are too short for DVDs to stand up, we had to lay them down. Oh and when assembling it, be sure to put it together right, we had to disassemble and reassemble because we had the sides switched. The directions aren't the greatest but we managed to put it together.

I love this cabinet for the way it looks and for it's sturdiness. I do have some worries about the paint though. Upon unpacking the cabinet I found one of the edges on one of the shelves to be slightly chipped. I'm not sure how it got that way because it came pretty well packed. I went ahead and assembled it anyway because I figured it wouldn't be seen anyway. I got the whole piece together pretty easily, but when I stood it back up I noticed another very small chip on the front bottom corner. Hopefully it doesn't continue to chip off like that. All in all I really like it though as it does make for an interesting piece.

Like a lot of us Yanks, I suppose, I have longed to have a British phone booth in my home. Not only are they quite pricey, but I live in an older home with smaller rooms. A "real" phone booth was not going to work. Then, I stumbled upon this one. It is absolutely adorable!

I knew it would be arriving today, so I had planned on spending the entire evening putting it together. Some of the other reviewers had described some real pain in putting this thing together. Well, knock on wood, but an hour in and I am done. My unit was easily assembled, once I got the overall plan. One thing that came in handy for me was to have a small flashlight on hand so that I could insure the camlocks were in the open position in the holes when piecing together the shelves and sides. This way, the screws went right in and it was easy to tighten the locks.

I was very pleasantly surprised to see how sturdy and substantial this case is as well. Also, the piece was well-packed in the box, with lots of cushioning, so it arrived with nary a scratch or dent.

I am SO GLAD I ordered this case. It is a great price and will give me lots of pleasure for many years. And, since I am a die-hard Anglophile, it brings a unique bit of Britain into my home. LOVE IT!

Not at all what I expected. I thought it was at least close to 6 ft tall and it is barely 4 ft. No worth the money I paid for it for sure. 168.00
I saw it standing next to a couch and it very tall compared to it. Bad advertising.

...at least to me, because I thought some pictures made it look rather burgundy. I'm giving this 4 stars because of two or three construction points, one of which is that there were only two holes drilled for each of the door clasp screws (there were supposed to be three per clasp, but since it was the middle pre-drilled hole that was missing, the top and bottom screws held it securely for the time being). Secondly, it would have been helpful if there had been a clear illustration of only ONE of the side panels showing where the various bolts and screws went. Finally, for anyone putting this together, BEFORE you connect the top of the booth ( unless you have a short Phillips screwdriver), go ahead and screw in the magnet that fits underneath it; otherwise a regular sized Phillips is too long to fit between the magnet and the top shelf. In the instructions, this isn't done until everything but the door is put on. This looks to be the exact same as the more expensive Holly & Martin Jasper phone booth, but if it isn't, it's still quite handsome. There was an area where the paint was a bit scratched, but it's cheaper and less trouble to buy a small bit of matching paint at the craft store than ship this back; besides, it's one of those self-assembly painted pieces of furniture that is probably never going to arrive 100% unscathed (or stay that way for long). Took me awhile to assemble, but I did it by myself. Was it worth the price? Probably not, but I don't think you would find one for less unless maybe it was after Christmas.
