Once you receive your brand new brush set, wash your brushes with your favorite face wash and rinse it out. After that, gently squeeze out the excess water, place them on a paper towel over a flat surface, and wait for it to dry.

I really liked this kit. They are soft and durable. I bought these several months ago and most of them are still gong strong. I found that when i bought them they did not hold a ton of powder, but after the first time I washed them they began to really grip the makeup. I now have to really tap hard to get powder to come off the brush. They are easy to wash and use. After several months a few of the more used brushes did separate from the shaft. For the price of these brushes I was not upset. It only took about 2-3 drops of super glue and they are usable again. Even if I had thrown them out I would of felt I got my moneys worth. This is my second set of Shany brushes and I would say I did like the synthetic purple brushes better and they were a lot softer.

I got this brush kit years ago and have since upgraded nearly all of my brushes. I now own only 2 of the eye brushes. This kit was good when I was starting out, and I remember being very excited to have a full kit and try all the different brushes. But you get what you pay for. The quality isn't nearly as good as my other brushes, they shed, don't have the best application, and are a bit scratchy. But if you're new to makeup they're a good starter set.

I have owned two sets of Shany Professional Cosmetic Brush Sets, the first meeting it's demise in a house fire, and the second set i purchased a few months ago, both the same color, Red. I really loved my brushes and the others I bought hastily after the fire I didn't like as well and I am happy to have these back again.

The set has nearly every brush you could need for daily routines and a few that help with those special looks. I have used them to body paint and do costume makeup for parties, I can rely on them to do a great and accurate job. They hold up well to gentle hand washing, which helps to work out any loose hairs and bristles, I use a mild cleansing shampoo to do the trick. I appreciate the soft roll for storage and portablity, nothing but the fire has damaged them so far.

Having made the decision to repurchase, I can tell you that there is a lot of value in this set for the price and I think the quality stands up to much more expensive sets.

After 13 years on Amazon, I rely on reviews like you do, which is why I feel strongly about leaving honest reviews myself. I understand the hassle of returns, being disappointed with products and not getting a good value for what you paid. I have to keep my shopping on a budget rebuilding my household after a recent house fire, so I try to be careful before I purchase, which is why the majority of my reviews might be positive. However, I leave negative reviews whenever a product warrants it, whether it's a discounted review sample or another purchase I made on Amazon. I'm always open to sales and deals,with Amazon being a long time favorite, so I purchased this item as a discounted sample in exchange for my unbiased review and to give you a true and honest opinion.

The brushes are very soft to the touch and are easy to use on skin without creating irritation or difficulty with application. The brushes are not as firm, so for blush and powder you may need to apply several times, but the material is so soft you will feel luxurious anyway. The brushes are relatively easy to clean and long lasting. The bag they come in is PERFECT for travel and keeping the brushes clean.

These brushes are so pretty. That is why I originally ordered them. I love the white bristles with the pretty pink tops. I also like the fold up brush organizer that you get with the brushes.

You get just about all the brushes an average person who is not a makeup artist could want. You get an assortment of face, eye, and eyebrow brushes. Each brush is a nice professional size at about 8" in length. The handles are made of wood and are numbered at the bottom. They are also very well-attached to the brush heads. The bristles are super soft and do not shed easily. The pink bag has a flap to protect the brushes and snaps to keep it closed. There were a few loose strings inside the bag but not a deal breaker for me.

I found these brushes easy to use while applying face and eye makeup. They grab the product well and apply easily. Overall I really like these brushes and I am glad that I purchased them. They are super cute and work great too.
