I had bought 2 other coffee grinders and didn't mean to be picky..it happened accidentally lol. I found myself hating every coffee grinder I bought because they weren't grinding evenly. Especially because I use pour over and can see everything brewing very clearly. This grinder very much impressed me and I'm only using rate 15 out of 30. So thats only half as fine as it could go for espresso or anything else. This thing is not super expensive like other grinders. Nor is it huge. I live in a very very small house and this is not much bigger than a regular grinder, very worth it. Plus, I feel hella fancy- the metal part of the top pops off so I can pour the grounds right into the coffee filter without using a scoop if I don't want to. Also it grinds without having to hold the button down. It's automatic! Wow. I'm happy and fancy as an owner of this even tho when I'm first wakin' up I'm grumpy and tired AF. It worth it.

This new one has it beat: hands down.
It is remarkably quiet. The cord wraps into the bottom for storage or to keep it tidy when its on the counter (if you use it every day).
The lid fastens down snugly onto the stainless metal cup.
The cup has the blades in it but it lifts right out for easy washing.
I tend to make my own spice mixes, so having the cup be portable is great for me: I can take it to the spice cupboard or to the garden and put my stuff directly into the cup for grinding.
This pulverized peppercorns into powder in about a minute. If I wanted a coarse grind, I would have stopped at around 30 seconds.
I can't speak highly enough of this.
I put the other one (still working) into the donation box so it can shriek at someone else's house.

I just got it today. And it has been used. As you can see. There’s still coffee inside. Like we’re stupid that we wouldn’t notice that it has been used. At least washed it. I wouldn’t recommend buying from them. I actually saw from the review that some people had the same issue but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Very disappointed. I was so excited that I could finally used my French press with this.

Once done the cup separates and can be quickly and easily washed. Same with the lid, if you care to was it. If this is a single use, same coffee, all the time, there's really no need to wash it every time.
This grinder is as quiet as a grinder could possible be. We have a bin type burr grinder that is several time louder than this one. This is quiet enough to grind coffee in the morning without waking up the house! The machine is well built and that includes some rubber feet to keep it on the counter and deaden the sound.
I think this is a quality product that seems well built and I expect will last.

This is a good grinder that's easy to use and even easier to clean! I was able to grind enough beans for a full 10 tablespoons of grounds when loaded to the max line on a medium grind. The grinder functions on a timer, as opposed to somehow measuring the size of the grind. The marks on the timer provide a rough guide that more time will result in finer grind. It takes a bit of trial and error, but if you set it lower you can always grind for a few more seconds to get a finer grind.By Dave on November 24, 2020

Update: Shardor contacted me and worked with me to select one of their other grinders. I'm very happy with the replacement, a CG628B, which is slightly narrower. I will say that the original grinder was quieter, but all in all, this replacement is also quite nice, albeit not as quiet.

See photos. The product dimensions given by Shardor on Amazon indicate the product is 3.15 inches wide, while in fact, the width of the widest dimension is 4.4 inches. Similarly, the height is supposed to be 7.87 inches tall, but the actual height is 8.2 inches. All in all, this is a very nice, and very quiet coffee grinder that is simply too large (width is a problem for space) to leave on my counter, and inconvenient to store away and take out for use each morning. I will be returning this and opting for a narrower grinder. Shardor and / or Amazon should update the product dimensions so other buyers aren't surprised by the bulbous girth of the grinder and need to return as I am.By NY Woodsman on February 19, 2021
