Excellent product for my everyday usage. Both the dry and wet function very well, the jars and lid are easy to clean, and the whole thing tucks away neatly. I have ground spices, nuts, regular sugar, oats etc to fine powders, have pureed tomatoes, fruits, beans, veggies (mind, only limited quantity at a time) successfully. Pesto turned out great, as did marinades.
However, one has to keep in mind certain things -
1) Both jars have a 'max' level marker. Respect that line. If you want to grind a larger quantity in one go, this is not the equipment for you. Shell out for a Ninja or Vitamix.
2) Any appliance with a powerful grinding motor should not be run continuously for more than 30-40 seconds. Please follow the rule. Pulse in turns.
3) Once again as with any small kitchen appliance, CLEAN/RINSE immediately after use. Don't push it to the back of the counter or just throw it into the sink/dishwasher after use. Simply rinse jar and lid under running water, and wipe down the base with a towel before putting it away.
4) While using the wet grinder jar, sometimes you need to add little liquid to get a smooth paste. You may also need to use a spatula to scrape the sides occasionally.
Any kitchen appliance will last long and work well as long as it is used the right way, and is maintained well. Same goes for this one.
