How did you come up with the idea for this product?

I stayed home to raise my three children. My two older boys had achieved their eagle scouts and were getting ready for college and my daughter who was born at 24 weeks was getting ready for high school. So I decided to fulfill my dream of starting my business once they got older. Over the years, I had purchased a lot of hair brushes and replaced them in just a few to several months. I knew what I wanted to sell hair brushes that were made with great workmanship. I also knew I wanted the products to last for many, many years so there was little need for replacement and, therefore, eliminating carbon footprint. To that end, I choose to work with a company that had been in the brush business for over 100 years and knew exactly what they were doing. Their philosophy of caring for the environment and producing products that were sustainably made fit right in with my standing on sustainability. I started with a few brushes and added more variety so there was a brush in my catalogue for every type of hair. Over time, I included beard, nail, face and body brushes. I know when my customers buy my brushes, they will receive brushes that will last them for many years. The packaging is minimal, made with recyclable light cardboard boxes.

What makes your product special?

What makes my brushes special is that each brush that is made is inspected for quality and craftmanship before being packaged and shipped. The brushes are made in a factory in Germany where 90% of the energy used is renewable energy. Most of the brushes that we sell are also FSC certified. When purchasing SHASH products, customers buy knowing that these brushes are going to last them a very, very long time, therefore, eliminating the need to waste money and resources.

The best part of my experience has been the generosity of the feedback I get from customers who love my products and keep coming back to buy more for their friends and family.

I have used a well known brand of wooden paddle brush for at least twenty years. The first lasted many years. The second several years and then it just started falling apart. I am very brand loyal and it takes a lot for me to switch from a brand that I have loved. But then I read not so recent reviews of how that brand's brush wasn't holding up any longer. So I set out on a mission to find a replacement and found this SHASH wooden brush. Time will tell if it holds up longer than my normal brand. But so far I have been so impressed with it. And the prongs are wooden as well! It works and feels the same except that the wooden prongs feel really good on your head.

I heard that wooden hair brushes are gentler on your hair. the bristles need to be wooden. I decided to try it for myself. My hair is almost waist length, straight and fine. I'm very pleased with this brush. It seems to get through the tangles better, and leaves my hair silky. Less fly away hair. Less hair loss. I would recommend it, and buy it again.

La spazzola arriva nella sua scatola di cartone riciclato. La prima cosa che mi ha colpito è che a differenza di spazzole simili ma più economiche, questa viene prodotta in Germania.
La qualità si vede subito. La spazzola è robusta. Il tutto è curato nei dettagli e senza alcun difetto di fabbricazione. Le setole sono 100% realizzate in legno.

Usare una spazzola in legno come questa è la scelta migliore per prendersi cura dei capelli con un occhio all’ambiente. Inoltre ha tutta una serie di benefici.
Le spazzole in legno prevengono reazioni allergiche, sono antistatiche e prevengono nodi e grovigli. Inoltre massaggiano delicatamente la cute, migliorando la circolazione. Rispetto alle spazzole tradizionali sono più delicate, non rompono i capelli e sono più facili da pulire. Inoltre a differenza di spazzole in plastica e metallo, queste sono ecologiche e durano più a lungo.

Personalmente questa spazzola mi ha soddisfatta moltissimo! È fantastica.
L’unico punto negativo per alcuni potrebbe essere il prezzo, 30€ per una spazzola possono sembrare molti, ma si tratta si tratta di un prodotto di alta qualità, che dura nel tempo.
La consiglio a chi cerca un prodotto di alto livello ed ecologico.

La spazzola arriva confezionata in una scatola di cartoncino. È una spazzola piatta con cuscino ad aria realizzata in legno. Anche i perni sono in legno. Ben rifinita, comoda, leggera. Si pulisce facilmente dai capelli che durante la spazzolata restano impigliati. È realizzata in Germania. Districa bene i nodi, non strappa i capelli, ottima sui capelli bagnati.
Non elettrizza i capelli
Ho provato spazzole di ogni genere, ma quelle in legno e semplici come questa per me sono le migliori.

Mit meinen mittlerweile mehr als hüftlangen Haaren brauche ich einfach eine Bürste, die den aufwendigen „Pflegespaß“ mitmacht, ohne dass ich sie als unhandlich dabei empfinde. Komplett aus Kunststoff bestehende Haarbürsten kann ich nicht mehr angemessen nutzen, da stehen mir im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes die Haare zu Berge, weil sich alles statisch auflädt. Bei der hier angebotenen Haarbürste ist die Beschaffenheit ein Plus, denn es handelt sich um Holz, so dass ich das Problem mit der statischen Aufladung nicht habe. Knötchen lassen sich gut auskämmen,lästiges Ziepen kann ich nicht feststellen. Ganz allgemein ist sowohl die Handhabung (die Bürste liegt sehr angenehm in der Hand), als auch die Funktionalität, positiv hervorzuheben.

Laut Artikelbeschreibung stammt das verwendete Holz aus ökologischer Waldbewirtschaftung und ist FSC®-zertifiziert. Eine solche Kennzeichnung konnte ich auf dem Produkt und auf der Produktkartonage nicht entdecken. Ich habe mich daher auf der offiziellen FSC®-Webseite umgesehen und die Möglichkeiten genutzt, anhand der Datenbank zu prüfen, ob zu diesem Produkt eine FSC®-Zertifizierung vorliegt. Die Recherche brachte allerdings keine Ergebnisse, so dass ich mit vorherigem Wissensstand davon ausgehen musste, dass es sich nicht um FSC®-zertifiziertes Holz handelt. Das Zertifikat wurde mir aufgrund meiner Zweifel zur Verfügung gestellt. Hier ist nachweislich alles im sprichwörtlich grünem Bereich und es darf von FSC®-zertifiziertem Holz ausgegangen werden.

Weiterhin liegt neben der FSC®-Zertifizierung auch ein EMAS-Zertifikat und eine EMAS-Urkunde vor. EMAS ist das Kürzel für Eco-Management and Audit Scheme, zu Deutsch: Gemeinschaftssystem für Umweltmanagement und Umweltbetriebsprüfung. Auch das wirft ein sehr gutes Licht auf die Vorgänge hinter den Kulissen. Ob das „MADE IN GERMANY“ zutreffend ist, hinterließ bei mir ebenfalls Fragen, wobei ich auch an dieser Stelle, anhand der vorliegenden Daten, ein positives Feedback geben kann. Die Maße der Haarbüste, die in Inch angegeben sind, vorteilhafter wäre ergänzend eine Angabe in Zentimetern, sind mit 3.25inch x 9.5inch hinterlegt. Umgerechnet und gerundet, handelt es sich um 8,26cm x 24,13cm. Das Nachmessen ergab 8,26cm x 24,3cm. Ich bin insgesamt sehr zufrieden, so dass einer Kaufempfehlung nichts (mehr) im Wege steht!

Diese Haarbürste habe ich bestellt, da ich immer wieder mit verwirrtem Haar zu tun habe und häufig die Haare am Kopf abbrechen durch die Überbeanspruchung. Diese Haarbürste sollte den Haarbruch minimieren. Da ich sie jedoch erst seit 2 Wochen im Einsatz habe, kann ich dazu noch nicht ganz so viel sagen. Fakt ist jedoch, dass sie anfangs ein wenig auf der Kopfhaut weh getan hat, weil sie eben keine Plastikborsten, sondern Holzborsten hat. Wenn man sich jedoch 2-3 Tage daran gewöhnt hat, möchte man sie auch nicht mehr missen. Denn das verwirrte Haar löst sie tatsächlich besser als meine alte Haarbürste. Durch die breiteren Ausmaße erwischt sie auch gleich mehr Fläche und die Haare sind gefühlt schneller gebürstet. Ganz ohne Ziepen kann ich jedoch nicht bestätigen. Sie liegt gut in der Hand und kämmt die Haare. Einen Preis von knapp 32 Euro (Stand Juli 2022) halte ich jedoch für viel zu hoch, selbst wenn sie nachhaltig produziert wurde. Auch wenn ich gerne mal Geld in die Hand nehme für eine gute Haarbürste, diese hätte ich mir vermutlich nicht gekauft. Dennoch vergebe ich 4 Sterne, weil der Rest des Produktes stimmt.

Ottima questa spazzola della marca SHASH, che ho ricevuto grazie al programma Vine di Amazon. Io temo moltissimo i capelli, quando li devo pettinare è una sofferenza; per non parlare di quando li devo districare dopo averli lavati, con tutti i nodi che mi si formano avendoli ricci. Ho voluto provare questa spazzola pensando che sarebbe stata solo una in più, uguale alle precedenti, e invece mi sbagliavo. A parte il fatto che è molto bella, con un design classico molto elegante e realizzata con un ottimo legno (ho letto che è di provenienza ecologica), è più grande del normale quindi copre aree più grandi, consentendo un lavoro rapido; si impugna bene grazie all'ergonomia del manico, la base è imbottita ed ha i denti in legno anzichè in metallo, caratteristica che previene l'effetto crespo ed evita che i capelli si elettrizzino. Ho notato che i denti sono molto flessibili, praticamente accompagnano la spazzolata, gli strappi sono pertanto ridotti al minimo e non si sente male. Forse il prezzo potrebbe sembrare un po' alto, e lo è rispetto a molte altre spazzole, la differenza però è abissale, e ve lo dice una che piangeva quando si doveva pettinare, ora non più. Prodotto consigliato. Spero di essere stata utile, grazie per l'attenzione.
