First off this is a serial. It is not a short story or a full story. It is part of a larger serialized novel. Don't expect an ending or all of the story threads to be tied up in a neat little bow. You will be left with questions probably that will hopefully be answered in a later installment. In a lot of ways it is like a TV show , like Lost or the X-Files, where you get a little more of the story each week along with a lot more questions.

A woman feels her life has gotten off-track. Now she has the chance to get it back on track by making a single wish, but to do it she has to betray her best friend. Will she choose to use her wish for her friend or will she keep it for herself?

This third installment ties the first two seemingly unattached parts together. At the same time it introduces several other characters. So what we end up with is a bunch more unanswered questions and no real answers to any of the ones we had from before. This is seeming more and more like a TV show instead of a book. The series is up to 16 episodes (making up 2 seasons worth) so far. With each story taking about 40 minutes to an hour to read, that is a lot of time to invest.

Unfortunately, the installments continue to be either predictable or seemingly pointless. Characters remain flat with only a few exceptions. I have yet to feel any real suspense or have a shudder. About the only real things the book has made me feel is frustration and confusion.

I guess it depends on whether the reader feels it is worthwhile to keep investing time and money in a serial story that seems to be building but on a very slow scale. I am still debating whether to continue.

This book starts were One ended. But you don't need to have read the others to make sense of this one. I know as this was the first in the series that I read. I thought it was a little gem, and then I found the rest and realised that the shudderville series is more like a whole mine of horror.
A bride on her wedding day is asked to help out a friend by making a wish. When she realizes that this is for real, she forgets her friend and make a wish for herself. From there the reader is lead on a story of small and big horrors right up to the end.

I absolutely could not put this book down. I love how the characters show back up in the next book or two and how they are all connected in their own little horror! Onto the next Shudderville where someones life will change forever weather they like it or not.
