I built a new Computer and used both USB 2.0 Headers on my Asus Motherboard. One for my OC Panel and one for my USB 2.0 plugs on the front panel. I had purchased a SD Card Reader and it required a USB 2.0 9-pin Header. I figured I would have to put in an PCIe card, but couldn't find one that had a Internal had the 9-pin header.
I had one extra USB 19-pin USB 3.0 Header still on my motherboard and was able to use it to run the Reader with this one cable.
I recommend this cable for anyone that has the same problem I had and needs an extra USB 2.0 9-pin header.
I would buy this cable again without hesitation.

Product works as described. I have been using it for 5 months now in a new PC build which needed a 4th USB2 header. 10/10, no complaints.

As a last note, the product could be improved by offering a right-angle option for the USB3 connector. Most Mobos these days have the USB3 connector at the edge of the board, and a right angle could save room for adjacent parts.

Solved a problem with a motherboard that had one less USB 2.0 port than what I needed for an accessory that I didn't realize required two USB 2.0 ports when everything was ordered. I was able to plug this in to a USB 3.0 port, and then the accessory into the other end!

Works perfectly, if your board has an extra usb 3 header but your case needs an usb 2 header this is the perfect converter. I'm using this with my NZXT Kraken x61 which needs an extra usb 2.0 header and it works perfectly. The heat shrink tubing isn't great the color wires are easily exposed if pull the wrap in any way.

Works perfectly. This thing spuriously saved my life!! I have a custom PC with water cooling and acrylic tubes. When I went to started up I noticed my Bluetooth and wifi module was not showing up. I knew that I was not going to rip apart my PC to fix I had to get a Secondary option I got a Gigabyte PCI E card with bluetooth and wifi. Then it needed USB 2.0 which were all used up and I had a 3.0 slot and this thing Literally saved me!! I love that this was made!! Thank you so much!

This product works as promised and is more aesthetically pleasing than an internal USB 2.0 HUB. I had a lack of USB 2.0 headers on my motherboards(and an abundance of components requiring USB 2.0 connections), but luckily had an unused USB 3.0 header. I plugged this bad boy in and it worked perfectly. I will add that I did put a little electrical tape when connecting the USB 2.0 Male to the component USB 2.0 Female to make sure they don't come apart. For the price and purpose, this is a great solution.

This product really has exceeded my expectations. It has performed very well blowing my normal 2.0 ports out of the business. Even though this cable downgrades my 3.0 port to a 2.0 port it still manages to perform better than my regular 2.0 ports.
