8kw Easily Heats 20 ft. Trailer
Like: Heat output is great. I installed the diesel heater in a 20 ft. work trailer.Dislike: The fuel line is located extremely close to the exhaust outlet port. I'll need to wrap the exhaust outlet port with heat wrap to prevent a potential problem. (See photos).Dislike: The instructions for the controller settings are awful.....really awful. YouTube has a couple decent videos on how to adjust the controller settings.

I bought this for my garage in southeastern pa, I'm a car nut and have been building hot rods and race cars for the past 40 years. I generally don't go out and work in the garage I have now during the winter unless I absolutely have to since its not insulated at all. When I had to go out to do something I relied on a kerosene torpedo heater, which worked but it was loud and made my cloths smell like kerosene and gave me a headache to boot. I tried plug in electric heaters but they didn't cut it and I dont really have any space on the electric panel for a dedicated 240V ceiling unit. I saw this heater and decided to give it a try , hey for $110 what do I have to loose? well after receiving the heater I found the instruction's SUCK and did not use them at all . I referred all my questions to YOUTUBE or the comment area for this heater on amazon. there is a wealth of knowledge on the internet on how to make these work there best so seek it out. my initial test of the unit went fine but the off gassing of assembly lube's internally really stunk up the garage so if you can fire it up outside and let it run before installing in a garage or where ever you want to use it (unless outside). second firing of the unit was much better, no smell, and I let it run for about 1 hour on its own while I went in the main house. the temp outside was 45 deg and the temp in the garage was 39 deg when I started. after an hour of running the garage was up to 58 degrees and I had the heater set to 64degrees. the internal thermostat kicked it to low operation when it got to 58 because the position of the heater on the far side of the shop was warmer (around 64?) and the shop thermometer was on the opposite end of the garage by the garage doors. it was more then ample to putz around the garage and very comfortable at the work bench which is next to the heater area. I am pleased with the heater so far, it "sip's" fuel and since I'm only out in the garage for a few hours at a time fuel will last me a long time. it's not loud in my book and it puts out some heat. it would work better in a insulated space. my garage is 600 square feet, wood framed construction with no insulation. I have an attic above and I put a sheet of 1" foil celotex insulation board over the access hole to stop a majority of heat rising up there. If your looking for a cheap heat source this is it. I did by a inline diesel fuel filter and replaced the existing fuel line with better stuff , insulated the units exhaust tube with high heat header wrap (it gets red hot). and I opted for a 120V -12V inverter for the power so I don't need a battery to run it.

This diesel heater is packed with power.. comes with a super handy remote which I use constantly; extremely useful and convenient. I Originally purchased it for heat near the pool. Resourcefully set it up by using heavy duty, adhesive duct, aluminum tape. Then wrapped it in a fiberglass woven heat wrap and hung it on a firmly installed shepherd hook and some zip ties.
So far, no air leaks..(2 months in use). and I'm saving somewhere around 25% fuel.
It has also changed our way of life on the boat. Only Wish I switched years ago! We Never have to worry about tripping a breaker again. The heat that this unit puts off is amazing and being only 12v, it has freed up all the power we were using with the electric heaters that was consuming most of our 30amp 120v service. 15 degrees outside, it's a toasty 70 for us. We're in t-shirts and can look over and see our neighbors inside their boats in down jackets and hats. Can not recommend enough.
Well worth the money!

I was initially excited to try the SILVEL 8KW Diesel Air Heater as a solution for heating my [tent/garage/etc.]. However, my experience was incredibly disappointing. After just one use, the heater completely stopped working. This is unacceptable for a brand-new product, especially since returns are not allowed.

It's worth noting a significant drawback of diesel heaters in general: they require a constant power source. Unlike propane heaters, which can operate independently, diesel heaters rely on electricity to function. This can be a limitation in certain situations, especially when off-grid or in areas with unreliable power supply.

I strongly advise potential buyers to exercise caution when considering this product, as its reliability seems questionable.

This is for the 5k-8k All in One heater. Overall this is a very nice setup and favorable to me because it is all encased in one unit. It is quiet and definitely tolerable as far as sound and operation. The instructions are printed very small and are hard to follow. I bought this on 11/25 and gave it as a Xmas present on 12/25. Prior to installing it into a camper van conversion I decided I would run it to make sure it worked. I have run it twice now for 5 mins or less and it seems to work just fine. However, it has the stink of burning rubber or plastic and I wonder if it may be a fuel line burning through. I did a deep dive into all the reviews and two others have mentioned this problem in a passing way. I messaged the company about the smell and they said - "Dear customer, regarding the issue of smell, the burning smell will be emitted during the combustion of diesel fuel. This also please understand, if you feel the smell is heavy can use the deodorant". It is not the burning diesel that stinks. In fact I could not smell the diesel burning. This is not a returnable product and I believe it is because once fuel is put in it it cannot be shipped safely or legally. I will probably open it up and find out what is burning and report back later.
BTW I run it with a BLUETTI Portable Power Station EB3A, 268Wh. Once it is running the power station says it is good for about 20 hrs. at 7 watts per hour. FYI
UPDATE: After starting it up several times the burning rubber smell has dissipated. The smell was not coming from hot air exhausting from the outlet, but rather from the heater itself. There doesn't seem to be any odor from the burned diesel. This seems to be nonreturnable because when fuel is added it then falls under hazardous materials shipping laws and the customer then needs a special license, training, and materials for proper packaging,

UPDATE: Just checked back with bookmarked link to product and it is showing different product now. Also used order link and same. Is this product being pulled off the market because of a recall (burning rubber)?
