I'm usually not a fruity candy type of guy. However I do like Skittles. This seems to be a good cost for such a big bag. It is March of 21 now and the expiration date on this bag is June of 22. These Skittle seem to be as fresh as the Skittle I get at the gas station. The new apple flavor, the green Skittle , tends to remind me of a green unripe apple. Some people on this review page are acting the fool crying about it being so awful. Yeah it's not my favorite Skittle (that one being the orange Skittle) but it is nowhere near the problem people are trying to make it out to be.

I want to say that these all didn't disappear in a week, but I cannot tell a naughty.
I also wish I could say that these were shared with multiple people, but again... Can't tell a naughty. It was JUST my daughter and I grabbing a handful every time we saw the bag, which probably was NOT the greatest idea to leave it in the MOST available spot in the house. Sigh...

On the bright side, it did bring us somewhat closer together to be able to bond over catching the other's hands in a huge bag of skittles and try not to snort giggle.

When it was 9 AM and I could hear the crinkle of the bag, I KNEW she was digging through to get out her favorite colors, which is green and yellow. ALSO another funny since those were the first 2 colors to magically disappear from the whole bag. HOW she was able to get EVERY SINGLE GREEN AND YELLOW is honestly a freaking talent because this bag is NOT small and taking out specific colors is a pain. I tried with the red and purple but gave up and just reveled in the taste of whatever rainbow I pulled out. HAHAHHAHAAAA

I will buy again, but probably in like a couple of months as I am still trying to jog off this bag.

Warning— this is a very large bag!! I love these candies and due to the situation around the world I found it easier to order online. I saw the familiar shape of the bag and had assumed it was the same size found in supermarkets—- I was surprised- happily- but it is much larger!
The bag was sealed and well protected in its packaging. When I opened it- that rainbow of fruit flavor was the sweetest taste! Very fresh and chewy and with a resealable bag I can easily keep these candies from getting stale.
For the amount- this is a great deal.

Yeah, green apple is a deal breaker, not going to lie. I detest the flavor as it brings back all the bitter sour nostalgia of sitting in doctor's offices dog sick, waiting in long bank lines as a child, getting the last unpicked dregs of Halloween handouts, and many a dour memory which I had associated the medicine inspired, chemically induced, nasal passage and mouth coating, sore throat triggering by association, flavor of sickly green throat vomit...I mean apple. Ergo, I can't eat them--such is my linked revulsion to the candy green apple flavor. I wish I could get past it, but I just can't, even the smell of the candy from a freshly opened bag is now different, a green apple scent drifts out above and beyond the mellow citrus of its cousins and triggers an instinctive gag reflex. I've lost a bit of my childhood history as a result. Never again can I enjoy a bag of Skittles... lost to the march of profiteering progress.

To that end and away from waxing poetic "Original Skittles" no longer exist. The red bag needs to drop the original moniker and just be red bag of just "Skittles", because it is quite clear the Lime flavor will not be coming back and thus Original or 'Classic' Skittles are a part of nostalgic history only. Skittles moved the Lime flavor to the newish "Orchards" variety, but low and behold, it includes: Red Apple. All the flavor you know and love to hate of the green apple, mellowed down ever so slightly and camouflaged in red. Which means even the Orchards variety I can't abide because I find the apple flavors to be largely identical in taste testing. I couldn't pick apart which was red or green before I had to spit either out and reach for Listerine--which tasted more of candy then the apple flavors could hope to. (Noticing I really don't like these yet?) So that's 2 brands out for one flavor, and I've never developed a large like for Wild Berry or Tropical, Fusion or Sour...

So, sadly -- green and red apple lovers can rejoice! Skittles has transformed from a long time favorite I'd by an entire box of 24 bags to have in my desk for long work days and night...to a candy that pretty much goes straight to the trashcan should I have the misfortune to receive any. So, that means more on the market for the rest of you folks who can enjoy the 'apple flavor'.

Silliness and hyperbole truly aside. Shipping times, product condition, packaging were all fine. I just had hoped that when I got these some time back that I had done so in time to avoid green apple. I wasn't. I recently came across the barely touched bag in cleaning out my candy stash and lamented a favorite lost to time, prompting the review.

Does anyone else miss the LIME flavored Skittles? Or is it just me? I'm not a huge fan of the green apple, so I'm always keeping separate bags of them to give away.

I anticipated opening the bag and instantly have a rainbow of candy pouring down from the sky on top of me and my chums. Unfortunately, the commercial was an exaggeration. You actually have to reach into the bag and take some of the skittles out and put them in your mouth. It requires a lot of work, but they are delicious. They should change that commercial.
