Like so many others before have already said "one of the most reliable chargers on the market".
We now deploy 4 for all of our movie drones and our Lipo batteries stay in top condition as well
as keeping our U.A.S. drones flying with more reliable power.
You can't go wrong with a genuine SKYRC iMAX B6AC V2 charger!
Beware of fakes's they are all over the place!! This is the real deal...

So to reply to others who say these get hot... You bet they do and so do all chargers, period!
If you want to know what the pro's do to keep them as cool as a cucumber here's the trick.

Take a 120mm computer fan and install a 6ft long 12volt (low amp 5 to 20), spare power supply to it,
and place 2 fan guards on both sides. Next superglue a small foot base (aluminum or plastic) to the bottom
of the thing. Plug it in and set it next to your charger and wah.... lah.... the fan will dissipate the heat.

This may not come with a fan but for the price so what... As well you can plug the fan in while out
in the field with your inverters and set it next to the charger while flying and recharging your batteries
The nice thing about having a separate fan is that you can keep your inverts cool with it as well...

tell that to these 13 @ 25% charge spent 6300mah batteries that we charge one right after another and our iMAX Dual Power chargers
never even get warm. Keep the heat away from the B6AC V2 and it will work for many years to come.

So far so good, except for the battery cell meter bug...

Just got it, seems fairly solid. One issue so far: the battery cell meter won't read low voltages.

We hooked it up and immediately got "invalid cell voltage" warnings on a couple batteries. Thought is was a bum unit, as I've seen other complaints to that effect in review. But no, in fact it was right. Score one or the B6. However, in order to determine it was right, I had to dig out my stand alone multi-meter. Score one against.

Why? Because when you switch this unit to the "battery meter", which is supposed to report individual cell voltages -- guess what? It only reports voltages above the valid range for each cell. So it shows flat zeros, as if the battery had less cells. This is less than useless. Because you can't tell a bad connector or wire from a bad cell. In this case, the battery was discharged just below the valid range and I could not diagnose it. But I was able to put it on another "stupid" charger briefly, and trick the B6 into seeing that cell again by putting a small surface charge on the cell. Way too much effort and possible confusion. In fact, I almost returned the meter. Just show me the actual low cells voltages so I can see what's what!

After sorting this out, I was able to jumper the balanced leads and read the low voltage of another battery cell on the B6 by connecting it solo only to the main leads -- so it reads like a NiMH and didn't threshold the voltage. So I know the meter can read cell values below 3 volts, it just chooses not to. BTW, I completely understand the charger electing not to charge out-of-spec cells for safety reasons, that is not my complaint. It is that it hides the voltages from me so I cannot diagnose the error. Smart charger, please assume smart user and give us info. Hopefully this will be considered a bug and fixed in a firmware update (hopeful look?)

Will update as we use it and see how it holds up.

Can be used to charge Prius Hybrid NiMH battery modules

I really like this charger, even though this charger cannot detect "negative delta V (NDV)" for NiMH batteries, which is an indication that the battery is fully charged. The reason is the charger charges in 30 second intervals (it checks the voltage at 28 seconds in the cycle, so if NDV occurs during the 28 seconds of charging, it won't detect NDV). However, you can control overcharging by max minutes, max milliamps, or max temperature (if you also purchase the optional temp probe for $10) . To prevent overcharging NiMH, I also purchased a external IS Low Voltage Disconnect, Digital Charging Timer Controller. A downside of the external controller is I could only charge at 1.5 amps. If I do not use the external controller, this device can charge at 5 amps, which is good to reduce the memory effect. When restoring batteries, Panasonic has recommended charging at 1.9 amps. This charger can discharge at 2 amps, however it sometimes discharges at lower rates. There is a feature to discharge down to a certain voltage, which works just fine. It would be nice if they add a feature to stop charging when a certain voltage is reached (for NiMH batteries).

Good charger, has everything you need

With an integrated power supply and the ability to charge all battery types (NiCD, NiMH, Li-ion, Lipo, LiFE, LiHV, and even Lead Acid), makes this charger a great choice for all of your charging needs. The fact that it has an integrated power supply as well as a 12 volt DC input means this charger can be used anywhere both in the car on the go and at home without the need for anything else. Many other chargers require a separate power supply for home use.

Not only does this charge, but it also measures charge current (overall mAh), discharges, and reads internal resistance, making it a very good tool for monitoring the life of your batteries overtime and prolonging their lifespan. The discharge functionality is also useful on older NiCd batteries which have a memory effect.

The charger seems to work good and automatically cut-off when charging is completed. The only issue I noticed was that the voltage is slightly off by 1/10th compared to my digital multi-meter. The charger said the battery voltage was 12.8, but I measured 12.9 with a multi-meter. I am not sure if this can be calibrated.

If you have a lot of things that take rechargeable batteries, then this is a must have!

This is the Second Imax B6 I've purchased. The first was an 80 watt clone at half the price. Both still work well after 10-12 months using them 1-2 times a week using AC and 12v DC from a car battery. For charging multiple higher capacity lipos using a parallel board I would recommend a higher amp charger. It does get hot charging two 5000mAh at a time but fine with single 5000mAh lipos or multiple 1000mAh lipos. No complaints with these chargers but if I was to start again I would purchase a 400 watt, 20 amp per channel, dual charger with cooling fan for my current requirements.
