I think the light looks much better in person than the picture shows.
Rolled the dice on the just under $2.50 gamble and Winner!!!
Item showed up a Week before its earliest estimated date.
After reading the other reviews, I installed it gently as to not strip the plastic strap.
Light is bright and works great in all modes - the 5 LED Kitt mode is a nice homage to The Hoff.
I didn't major in Business Economics, but Do The Math: it came with batteries and had Free Shipping - package showed 3.50 USD for postage.
The light is much better than I expected the quality is good maybe better than good.
One switch controls the three (3) settings and is on the top of the unit making it east access to select the function as well as to turn on and off.
It comes with two(2)batteries and that alone is equal to the cost of the lamp if you had to buy them yourself.
The LEDs are very bright and highly visible even in daylight.
The mounting hardware is substantially constructed.
The total package is well worth the two dollar twenty four cent cost and free shipping makes this a great deal if you have the time to wait to receive it from China.
Well, guess my original optimism was misplaced: this light died on me after just 2 uses. 3rd time I put it on my bike (since I usually ride during the day), it wouldn't turn on. Changed out batteries, same problem. Guess it was really too good to be true.
Rating downgraded to 1 star. Actually 1.5 stars due to how cheap this was to begin with. But still, dead in less than a month's time???
For four bucks shipped from China, I didn't have high expectations...very happy it arrived in just 15 days, and works fine. Will update review if durability is an issue, but for now am very happy and will probably order a second one.
Takes two AAA batteries, very simple operation with a single push button on the back. I do wish it had fewer blink modes (it has probably 8 or 10!) because it's kind of tedious to have to push the button multiple times just to turn it off...a relatively small complaint, unless of course the button fails on me...time will tell!
In the meanwhile, am happy to have a highly functional and super bright/visible tail light on my bike, and oh so cheap, maybe 1/3 to 1/5 what my local bike shops charge for identical-looking lights.
1: The clamp is a friction fit like a Zip-tie, so it fits oddly shaped things.
2: The lamp is attachable two ways, vertical or horizontal orientation. It can be clipped into its mount from any of four directions.
3: The "Ultra Bright" claim really is true. At night I can see this from >100 feet away, clearly.
4: It runs on AAA batteries, but doesn't seem to lose anything to them in duration or in clarity.
Okay: here's the scoop. I put this on my Trike* rather than on my bike. I attached it to the basket, horizontally oriented. When I am not using the trike (as in I'm in the market or whatever) it unclips and fits in my pocket, so no theft worries. This is possibly the most useful battery tail light I've found. It works and keeps idiots from coming too close to the Trike when its loaded and I'm heading home.
*Note: Given the cost of gas and the need to stay in shape, I bought a Schwinn Meridian Trike for grocery runs and local shopping. In four months, I saved in gas the cost of buying the Trike; go figure. I ride at night, so good lighting is a must when I have to share the road with morons in Detroit steel cages. This little investment will keep my old, creaky body undamaged as I share the road with the brain dead. I am considering getting another light for the back of my bike helmet, its that light and that visible; and with the clamp system, it will fit nicely and not be too heavy...maybe...
Anyhow, this is worth a lot more than I paid for it. I'm happy.

At first they seem bright and have a decent size/shape (strapped them vertically to my bike rack side rails). However, they seem to go out whenever I hit any kind of a bump. Read morePublished 1 month ago by kar

Broke first ride just a little bump on sidewalk and looks like one of the rails of the cheap plastic coupler broke off and the whole thing came down shattering in pieces. Read morePublished 2 months ago by J. Godoy
I wanted this back light to be good. It looks good. Unfortunately the button to turn the light on is made badly and after a week is extremely hard to turn on. Read morePublished 5 months ago by Diarmaid R
