-Very fast assisted open
-Shaves right out of the box
-Good steel (SOG AUS-8 Cryo treated)
-Seems to hold an edge pretty well
-Almost zero "play"
-Reliable locking mechanism
POTENTIAL PROS OR CONS
-Very light, but so light, it almost feels "cheap" (even though it's quite solid) *A case could be made that it is simply well balanced between blade and handle
-Clip allows for very low profile carry in pocket, but can be hard to draw quickly because of this
-Closing mechanism is very solid, but takes getting used to
-Not quite enough textured grip
-Difficult to deploy one-handed quickly if safety is on
-Closing one-handed safely can be difficult

Highly recommended as an EDC (everyday carry) knife, although, for this function I would probably have preferred the same model with serration, which is available for the same price. That is purely personal preference, though. I was able to shave with it right out of the box and after some moderate work use, the edge retained itself well. I have not sharpened it myself, but from my understanding, SOG's AUS-8 steel is among the best in the category due to the cryo treatment, and sharpens beautifully. It is light, and stays out of the way, sitting ultra low in your pocket, so you may forget it's there. Unfortunately, some may mistake its extremely light weight for being cheap or plastic, but I can assure you, the material is quite sound. A plastic handle will bend when you apply pressure to the sides, and will allow play in the blade after deployment, this handle will not. The low profile is great for keeping it out of the way wt work, but hinders your ability to draw it as quickly as others, more so than you may think. For self defense, it does have an excellently low profile for concealment, however, I see too much difficulty in overcoming the quick deployment problems. While it opens quite a bit faster and more solidly than most, getting it out of your pocket to do so can be difficult due to the ultra low profile clip, and if you are using the lock feature, it becomes a two handed job. Once opened, however, it is as good a knife as any for this function. It doesn't have as much grip as I would like, but it does have two finger grooves that make up for that in *some* situations. That being said, I definitely recommend this knife for most.
Its also really easy to sharpen and you don't have to sharpen it all that often. I honestly forget the steel that's in it. but even the corner is simply sharpened. (10/10
The only downside is the dreaded "safety" clip. Why does this exist? It has never opened on its own.. so why does this exist? If it's for children I'm pretty sure that's the user's fault rather than the child. If you need to cut something now and it's locked. it's honestly pretty confusing and annoying.
If you like a lock on your knife, good for you, the lock does its job 100%. You cannot open it with out unlocking it. but for me the lock is unnecessary and annoying. (3/10
The clip. Its a clip, it works as a clip, clips well, and doesn't unclip. Good Clip. (10/10
feels very light and you shouldn't feel the weight of carrying it for EDC.
As for the other stuff...
Some may see the pics of that the locking mechanism and think
it functions similar to a Benchmade AXIS-LOCK, you'll disappointed. in no way is it functionally similar to an axis lock. that little round nub(on one side only) simply pushes "backwards" on a lock-back mechanism to allow you to close the blade. the rest of the time, that locking nub rattles around back and forth in its cutout groove, no spring tension present to keep it in one spot. Additionally, the handle for my tastes, is very THICK for this size knife. I've got a benchmade barrage that is just as thick but is a larger knife in all dimension. im guessing that the assist-mechanism and manual lock switch requires this extra bulk. and there are NO metal liners to justify even some of this handles' thickness.
if I had seen better product photos I would've skipped this knife purchase. so this is just an okay rating for me. Amazon service, as always is very quick.
