Note: if you do get this knife. I find it better to just put sheath clip in position you want then just tighten it all the way. Keeping it loose and constant rotation will wear the pivot point. And don't screw too tight because you can smooth out the screw hole.
I have been carrying this knife on my belt every day for the last 10 days.
I have it set to grab with my off hand (left) and it swiftly draws with minimal effort and feels very solid and secure in my hand. This knife is small enough to carry all day and is large enough and quality enough to be a good handy cutting tool and/or used for self defense.
Like many other reviews have said, it didn't come razor sharp, though not dull, and had a small nick in the cutting edge. Quickly resolved by sharpening the knife.
The sheath holds the knife in place by friction. I would feel more comfortable if it "clicked" into place but it hasn't come loose yet, so it doesn't seem to be a problem.
Update: The belt clip on sheath slipped off my belt when I was sitting in a chair on carry day number 12. I didn't notice until I needed the knife later that night. Luckily, I was able to find it. So I will need to maybe clamp the clip so it holds the belt tighter.
It made a great boot knife, until someone pointed me to the California knife laws and I realized carrying it that way is illegal. Damn stupid laws.
See, I am a utilities operator. As such I carry lots of tools in my pockets- flashlight, screwdrivers, wrench, pH meter, gloves, a rag, earplugs, and sometimes fittings or nuts & bolts. So if I could carry a knife in my boot, it's one less thing in my pockets. Damned stupid laws.
A great and legal way to carry is to turn the belt clip sideways, so that the knife is horizontal in the small of your back. Then it SHOULD be considered open carry.
