This LEDs will provide up to 37-lumens for shadowless light when cutting or for flashlight capability while being stored in the included black hard molded nylon sheath. Made of 9Cr18MoV stainless steel with an attractive satin finish, the 3.9-inch straight folding blade has a clip point shape that allows a quicker and deeper puncture upon insertion, sharpens easily and makes quick work of any task. The BLT50N-CP Bladelight Folder is powered by standard alkaline batteries for a 260-minute burn time, designed with state of the art push button switches/circuitry and has an IPX-7 rating for water immersion of 30-minutes with a depth of up to 1-meter. The SOG Specialty Knives & Tools BLT50N-CP Bladelight Folder LED Knife comes with a limited lifetime warranty that protects against defects in manufacturing and materials. Each SOG product is created with the help of company founder and chief engineer, Spencer Frazer. Known for their uncompromising style and performance, these knives and tools showcase innovation, dependability and a unique, futuristic style that has garnered awards and recognition worldwide. SOG products have also won favor among law enforcement, military and industrial customers that rely on their tools to perform flawlessly in the toughest, most adverse conditions.
SOG Specialty Knives and Tools adds an innovative twist to its 3.9-inch BladeLight folding tactical knife (model BLT50N-CP)--six LED lights molded into the glass-reinforced nylon (GRN) handle on either side of the knife blade. When activated, the lights provide shadowless illumination when cutting or flashlight capability (while closed). Of course the knife can still be used without turning on the LEDs.
Powered by two AAA batteries, the BladeLight provides 34-37 lumens of bright white light, helping you to avoid juggling a flashlight in one hand and a knife in the other when darkness descends. The BladeLight also offers an IPX-7 rating for water resistance to full immersion (immersion time 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter). The clip point blade folds into a sleek molded GRN handle with liner lock.
This package also includes two batteries. All SOG products are guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials for the life of the original purchaser.
Caring for Your Folding Knife
Keeping your knife clean, dry, oiled and sharp are the primary defenses against corrosion, wear, and potential injury. Be sure to clean the blade and handle after each use--however, do not soak your knife in water. A mild solution of soap and water should remove any dirt and debris that may have accumulated during use (avoid harsh detergents such as laundry or dish soap, and chlorine products). To remove any debris from inside the handle you can use a toothpick for any visible lint or dirt, or a Q-Tip for smaller amounts of dirt and debris.
After cleaning or after exposure to moisture be sure to completely dry your knife blade and handle, taking special care with any sensitive handle materials. Use a soft cotton cloth or chamois and a small amount of moisture-displacing oil (such as WD-40 or 3-in-1), on the blade only, to prevent water spots and oxidation from forming.
Fingerprints and weather are the primary causes of rusting or corrosion on a knife blade. To keep your knife looking its best, SOG recommends that you give your blade a light coat of oil after each cleaning, and prior to long-term storage. Be sure to also apply a Paraffin-based oil to the pivot point, which will not only keep the action of your blade smooth but will repel dirt and debris which could impede the blade's action.

Top customer reviews
I am always looking for smart ways to consolidate my everyday carry items, and I thought this would be worth taking a shot on. So far, I'm pleased. But let me qualify that statement. If you usually carry a high end folder, that you could baton with if you had to, and you carry a pocket Streamlight that can light up a city block, then this system is probably not for you. But if you are looking for a medium use blade tool and a light that will have enough power for normal, run of the mill type duties, in one package...then this could be the system for you.
Negatives: it's made in China. At least the blade is. I'm not sure if it's assembled in the US however. The finger guard (forgive my ignorance of knife nomenclature/ I'm far better with firearms) gets in the way, slightly, of one-handed opening. I would prefer a little more protection for the LED's, from bumping and just rattling around in your pocket. Positives: the blade seems to be typical SOG. Decent steel, very snug when in opening position and they always come with very nice edges on them. Has a lanyard hole. Only requires 2 AAA batteries, and not some goofy camera batteries. Although I haven't taken it apart to clean it, it looks like it does so quite easily with allen/hex tools. My favorite thing about this, and it may sound stupid, but it happens with so many pocket flashlights, is that it requires a decent amount of force to turn on the light, making it extremely difficult to turn on by itself in your pocket. Overall, I think it will prove to be another good quality tool/system from SOG.
