I was looking for a pair of ear buds that would not fall out while running, and these are perfect! It's such a simple, elegant design, yet they stay put! No over the ear, around the ear, giant claw looking things like some of the other headphones that were suggested to me for running. These are small, easy to put in your ear, and stay there easily. They have never fallen out on me, and I've used them often. I did a 6.5 mile run recently, and used these the entire time.
My biggest concern when buying these, other than their ability to stay in my ear when running, was the sound quality. I did a lot of research before purchasing these, and read many reviews. Some said the sound quality was excellent, while others said that standard ear buds (like the ones that come with a iPhone, for example) sounded way better. For the price, I wasn't going to put up with sub-par sound quality.
My concerns were unnecessary. The sound on these is EXCELLENT. I'll admit I'm not an audiophile, but I know what sounds good to me, and these do. They do sound different from Apple's headphones, for sure. After doing a good amount of comparison, my verdict is this: the sound produced by these Sol Republic headphones is cleaner and more pure sounding. The bass is decent, and the treble is excellent. I also compared them against an old pair of Bose headphones I had. Both sounded great, but I give the slight edge to Sol Republic.
If you are looking for a good pair of ear buds for running, these are well worth the purchase.
These Sol Republics do what they say! THEY STAY IN! I love the design and everything about the headset. The only issue is the sound is good - not great. The bass is just enough. I wish the volume would be a bit louder overall.
I have a pair of MEElectronics M9P that cost $15-20 that sound better, but no, they do not stay in.
So overall - these WILL do the trick! They are a great pair of in-ear running headphones. Why not 5 stars? It's less about the sound quality and more about the price. If you don't need the 3-buttons, go for the 1-button, it's just that you only have black to choose from.
So if you want color and/or 3-buttons (didn't work for my Moto X phone) you are paying $70+. It's a bit high for what this headset can do.
If they had priced it in the $40-50 range for the 3-button colored headset, 5 stars all the way. I can't say it's worth $70-80, but hey, to each their own.
The Relays stay perfectly in my ears. I have had them for over 1 year without issue. I tuck the cord inside my shirt and clip the cord clip to my shirt collar.
Sound quality is excellent. There is no very strong base, but I really don't need this while running. The highs and midrange tones are crisp and noise free.
I have a one button set and now a three button set. Although I don't use the buttons much. Really I set the volume once with my phone and then run. I have used them for taking calls and this also worked perfectly.
All around I am extremely happy with these head phones.
I have to always bump it up to the max to get the right level I like but on other sets the volume is never maxed.
The fact that the volume control is located on the left ear string is annoying since all of my other sets are on the right side.
The volume control needs to be pressed really hard to get a response sometimes. It annoys me a lot.
The phone jack is not straight but L shaped which makes it pretty much impossible to use with any phone that has a decent protective case.
The good part is that the headset fits extremely comfortable in the ears and doesn't easily fallout.
An update: After less than 3 months of very light wear the left speaker stopped producing the sound. I am trying to get a refund from the manufacturer but I don't think this would be a possibility. They are likely to exchange the product but I am stuck with a mediocre headset that will likely to break again.

Paid almost 100€ for this and they last 3months.
After sending the problem to their support about the default they sent me new ones and everything was fine.
I'm not sure the exact time I had these new ones but I believe it's 14 to 20 month and the exact same problem happens again. Left earbud stopped working. I only use them during work so I don't put any kind of stress on them for this to happen again.
I still love this phones (besides this problem of course) but I'm not willing to keep buying new ones every 2 years.
