There isn't much to be said here, as this has been doing it's job ever since I popped it into my Vita.

The major flaw? Sony acts like their memory chips are made from diamonds carved off the back of some elemental demi god of gemstones and awesome. There is no reason this should cost $40.00 when I can purchase a name-brand MicroSD flash card for almost $10.00 aside from pure obnoxiousness on the part of the manufacturer. These can be literally stamped out by the hundreds. I am fairly sure the packaging may cost Sony more.

Sony, just stop with the overpriced memory and the proprietary chargers/media. Why do I have three different chargers for a PSP-Go, a PSP-3000 and a Vita? Why do I even have a PSP-Go?

Updated 2/13/13: My entire review is not visible unless you look at this in comment form, I apologize for the inconvenience. I also apologize for the massive length of this post, however appreciate everyone's support.

If you plan on using your Playstation Vita for game saves ONLY, then this is what the 4GB card is for. But let's face it, there will be people that want to revisit their PSP library, there will be people taking pictures, or putting their music on their vita to listen to with some games. For $16.99-20 bucks it's affordable, but it's the worst storage to price ratio, as expected.

But, let's look at the size of the Vita games:

%Alien Breed: 123MB
AR Play 2012 Holiday Bundle: 1.13GB
Army Corps of Hell: 625 MB
Asphalt: Injection: 765 MB(Demo is the same size)
Assassins Creed III Liberation: 2.6GB(Version 1.02 of physical media takes 30MB)
Ben 10 Galactic Racing: 968 MB
!Bentley's Hackpack: 785MB
Big Sky Infinity PSVita: 329MB
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND: 3.33GB(Good luck fitting this game on a 4GB card, and be able to do anything else, Version 1.00 of physical media takes 2912KB)
Burn the Rope: 31.4MB
Call of Duty: Black Ops - Declassified: 2.5GB(Version 1.02 of physical media takes 376MB)
@Chronovolt: 262MB
Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention: 2.05GB(Version 1.00 of physical media takes 4896KB)
DJMAX Technika Tune: 3.1GB
Doctor Who The Eternity Clock: 767MB
Dokuro: 310MB
Dungeon Hunter Alliance: 1.03GB(Cross Platform play with PS3 is not supported, Version 1.00 of physical media takes 1024KB)
Dynasty Warriors NEXT: 1.5GB(Demo is 214MB, Version 1.01 of Physical media with all DLC installed takes 62MB)
EA Sports FIFA Soccer: 3GB(Demo is 1.

I have to agree with everyone else. These things are way too expensive, but whatcha gonna do...they're required. With that being said, the 4 and 8 gig are not going to be enough except for those who want nothing more then to save game data and maybe download 1 or 2 games/apps. I went with this one because I just couldn't bring myself to spend $100 on a memory card that's half the size of my fingernail. It should last me a while, but be warned that you're really only getting 14gigs of memory.

The price rate for a 16 GB proprietary card is honestly ridiculous. Looking at prices for the 64 GB card, you can tell that they're jacking up the prices for no reason at all. On the PSP you could easily use a MMS and it would be a fraction of this price, I only got it because it was on a decent sale, but honestly otherwise I wouldn't EVER consider buying it. This is close to the biggest and most obvious scam I've ever seen by a company honestly...

works as intended.

the 1 star is because of the PRICE.

i cannot believe sony wants to pick our pockets with a propietary memory stick, what a shame.

this 16gb stick should be priced like the rest, around $14.99

great console but sony is screwing everyone over on the memory. i know they using a proprietary tech adds security and deter piracy but charing an arms and leg for it is unacceptable!
