Rugged and durable, this waterproof boot features seam-sealing, a built-in gaiter, a molded eva comfort footbed, a multi-direction rubber lug sole and 400 grams of thinsulate™ ultra insulation to ensure that feet stay secure, warm, dry and protected during demanding activities in extremely cold winter weather.
This rugged boot from Sorel is ideal for those who tend to find themselves in extreme conditions. Constructed from waterproof leather, the boot is seam-sealed to keep feet warm and dry. The built-in gaiter/bootie has an easy barrel-lock closure for walking in deep snow, and an Achilles adjustment strap which can be tightened to further provide ankle support for uneven terrain. The removable EVA comfort footbed reduces weight and adds thermal protection for long days in the cold.See all Product description

In summery, these are obviously not the same boots I purchased 10 years ago and I will not buy them again.
I don't know why I even gave them 2 stars before. I would give them 0 but the only option I have is 1. They are now almost ready for the trash. They are not warm at all(even in moderate 30s temps). My feet get soaked. All the seems are falling apart.
I found out why this is happening... they are not the same company! Sorel used to be a Canadian company (when I purchased my first pair) and now they are Chinese trash. PLEASE DON'T BUY THESE BOOTS!
After wearing them maybe 10-15 times, they began to crack at the seam where the upper leather meets the synthetic lower part of the boot - So I'm in the same situation less than a year later!
I bought a pair of used *15 year old* winter boots, made in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, USA, that will last another 15 years but, unfortunately, after much searching there is almost zero selection of non-imported winter hiking boots.
So I’m sending the Conquest's back, requesting replacement with a better quality boot made domestically - or a full refund. I will update this review upon further developments.
The adjustable ankle support strap is pretty awesome as well, along with the built-in gaiter. The only con I would say about these is that the rubber soles are so thick it takes some getting used to when stepping over rocks and not knowing where the bottom of your foot ends!
