The book starts with some database theory. If you are already familiar with database basics you can skip that part. Then the SQL language itself is explained starting with some basic stuff like how to select columns, how to filter rows, how to do calculations, etc. After that, joins are explained in order to query multiple tables in one query. This chapter is followed by aggregation and grouping of data and subqueries. In the last part of the book a short overview on more advanced topics is given (analytical functions, etc.)
If you are a business analyst like me and need to learn SQL to write your own queries, this book is just perfect!
