At first when this product arrived (which was very fast) I thought to myself oh great this is not really what I expected, seemed gimmicky too simple to believe it would actually work. It is exactly what you see in the picture you add the salts to the bottom and there are little holes on the bottom to let air go through and you inhale the salty air thats it. I had been using Salbutamol but ran out of it and didnt like how fast it would make my heart race so I figured I would try something more natural well the 1st asthma attack I got was soon after I got this product I tried it for about 30 min and sure enough it started to break up the mucus just like my inhaler would do only with out the fast heart beat and it also allowed me to breath just like my inhaler would do only it was slower to work then an inhaler. I since then have been using it every day for like 30 min my asthma has decreased since I was skeptical at 1st but am so happy this works because I hate inhalers. The only thing that might be a down fall is if you use this at night then go to bed you get serious dry mouth due to the salt... one last thing i happen to like the taste of salt and the flavor of this salt is much nicer then regular salt so I think its just an added bonus that its also a nice salty flavor.

I used to be on steroid inhalers, and nebulizers, and prendisilone. Now I just inhale the salt pipe, and if it is a nasal problem, inhale through my nose. I find that after a few minutes I am able to cough up stuff from my lungs, and my sinuses start to drain. I do use an antihistamine, and Nasonex when needed, but I do not nebulize or use steriod inhalers. I use this with my doctor's knowledge.

I have Asthma and upper respitory problems and frequently use a nebulizer. I started using this product instead of my nebulizer about a month or so ago - it's great! I use it every morning while on my computer. It has really helped my asthma and upper respitory problems and I don't use the nebulizer at all now.

I have had this inhaler for a couple of weeks now and so far, so good. I was diagnosed with Mild to Moderate COPD almost three years ago. This seems to have been caused by my 50 years of smoking and truth be known I still have not been able to stop smoking so there is quite the battle going on in my lungs between my smoking and the salt and med routine.
I am still using 3 inhalers. One was the normal rescue type (Albuterol), one is Symbicort and the other is Tiotropium, a capsule that is punctured and then inhaled through a special inhaler.
I am to use the rescue when needed, Symbicort 2X per day and the Tiotropium once a day, all as directed. After 3 years I am doing the same physically as I was when first treated. I felt like I was not gaining on my goal of breathing more easily. Even though I still follow the Doctors orders and take my meds as prescribed I feel that I am doing better after adding the salt into my daily routine of med taking. I will find out for sure at my next Dr. appointment when the Dr. listens to my lungs. I am sure they will sound more clear than they have the past few years.
I have been using the Himalayan Inhaler as a supplement to the prescription meds at least once, sometimes twice per day for up to 30 minutes but no less than 20. I use it while reading, watching TV, driving and just about anytime I feel like it. There is nothing about this product that smells or would cause others in the room to have a problem or concern, like second hand smoke would.
I have noticed a big difference in my breathing throughout the day as well as when I sleep (less or no snoring and I wake up a bit more rested). I find that I can walk a longer distance, perform more physical labor and breathe ALL day much, much easier.

I have had serious bronchial asthma for 68 years. Many ER visits, tons of drugs and Albuterol inhalers. (they are wonderful) Since ordering this pipe I have not used the inhaler, but do keep it with me. The first few inhalations caused a little coughing, but no more. No mucous, no wheezing. My doctor cannot believe the improvement, especially without any type of medication. I puff on it a few times each day in no particular order and this seems to keep the airways open and happy. Still can't believe it!

Never heard of such a thing, and sounded funny when i first read about it on amazon.com. Took a chancd after reading what other users had to say about it, as i do have COPD from all the years that i smoked, and sinus/allergy problems. Have only had it a short time, so too soon to tell about it helping my COPD, starting with the first day i began using it, helped my sinuses. After only several minutes of use, i could feel it clear up my sinus congestion, and on those days when my sinuses were running, it dried them up, again, with only several minutes of use. I am striving to get off of or at least reduce my dependcy on prescription drugs, and have not taken one allergy pill since i began using this salt pipe.

I have asthma and purchased this product after hearing about it on a clip from Dr. Oz. I think it takes some time to really work, but I have been using it for 3 weeks at one time per day for 20 minutes. I have already began to notice a difference. It is not a cure all so far, but if I feel an asthma attack coming on and use this, it will help to calm my breathing. I have tried using Neti Pots, which do work to cure my nose but has never had an effect on my asthma/allergies. This may sound gross, but it really pulls the mucus out of my chest. With the results I have seen on such a short amount of time using it, I am excited to see what will happen with continued use.
