SRAM's PC-1051 Chain features a corrosion-resistant nickel plating on both the inner and outer links to deliver smooth and precise shifting. The PC-1051 is built for 10-speed drivetrains and is designed to work seamlessly with the tooth shaping and pickup/release points on SRAM's cassettes and chainrings. Thanks to SRAM's PowerLock connecting link, the PC-1051 can be easily installed without needing special tools. Most importantly, the PowerLock link is as strong (or stronger) as any other link on the chain, and won't impede shifting performance. The SRAM PC-1051 Chain is compatible with both SRAM and Shimano 10-speed drivetrains.

Snap links are no longer Gold, mine came pretty much flat black.
As for the chain, I haven't broken a 1051 in 2.5 years. Running well. I'm a bigger rider, usually earn my descent and generate a lot of power. Twisted my last few chains the 1051 included but I haven't snapped one of these. If you are shaving weight look for a more expensive option but if you are looking for a solid chain the 1051 is where it's at. Powerlink has changed over the years...this one would barely snap into place even with the recommended torque with your leg method. took a couple tries. I don't see needing to remove chain anytime soon.
