It charges my 48V pack on my EZ-GO cart pretty well (8x6V batteries). It only goes up to 10.7 Amps, which some say isn't enough to prevent stratification over time. We'll see. It does take overnight to charge, and it has a cooling fan which is pretty loud when charging (variable speed fan) but I don't sleep next to my golf cart, so that is not an issue. A lot cheaper than a transformer charger. My only regret is that they lowered the price almost immediately after I bought it!
UPDATE: It still works "OK" but the plug has melted which others have complained about. The unit comes with a plug on the charge cable which can be connected to one of a number of different types of cart plugs, or to a pair of clamps. Those plugs work fine. It is this intermediate plug that melts. And if the connection isn't good, it will not charge. The current goes to zero (even if the voltage registers) and the charger thinks the battery is done charging (it charges until it reaches zero current). Clean the connectors and make sure they are not arcing or making poor connection.
Unfortunately, I cannot find any source for replacement plugs, so I am left with the choice of having to splice the wires myself (which no doubt Stanley would not approve of) or buy a whole new unit. This is too bad, as the price on this was very attractive and it otherwise works well.
I am going to clean the contacts and try to bend them back into position first. It works OK now, if you jiggle the connector, but it has melt marks on it and this is obviously not good!
Great charger - needs better connectors or at least a source for replacements!
If the fan was reversed it would blow cool air into the unit and keep it adequately cooled, however its current design is to attempt and sucking hot air out and there simply isn't sufficient ventilation nor fan power to achieve this.
I've now wasted $260 buying two of these chargers which would have paid for a much better quality charger to begin with. I had wanted this originally to swap easily between my 12 and 24v banks when charging, the headache a loss are not worth the potential pros of this charger.
Cooling fan seems to be an issue on all of them but I use it in a separate building so the noise just reminds me it is on.

I guesss I missed my return date through Amazon, so I contacted the Manufacturer in Boca Raton Florida, very friendly fellow asked me to try all the things I had already tried, and then concluded it needs to go back to the to their warranty claims department for evaluation.
The shipping to Florida is on my dime, so it could cost me half of what I paid for this charger to have it evaluated and hopefuly replaced..
Not impressed in the least.
To me battery chargers are like fire extinguishers, it is something you purchase a hope you never really need to put to use.But hopefully it works when called on.
Well the saga continues, I sent the charger back to the address in Florida ($40.00) in shipping, a couple of short weeks later my charger arrives, I assume it is a replacement. I am not taking any chances this time, and set up the charger, drag out a 12 volt battery.
Plug in the charger, dead as a stone, no lights, no display, just the fan. #$#&*$#@#$$##@@$##$$. you understand. it is now decision time. another forty bucks or fix it myself. Well I am already into this thing for over $200.00 and I have not been able to successfully charge a battery.
So, I took it apart, I am an electronics tech by trade, and discovered a poorly seated connector and a couple of bent pins. Once assembled, tried it again and sucess, It worked on both 6 and 12 volt, and I hope to try the other voltages here soon.
Until I use it more I can't say how good the charger is going to be, but the quality control what ever sweatshop is putting these together is terrible.
I now have a working charger, but its was a do it yourself project.. To be continued........
Received repaired unit in about a month, and it's working as new. I'm out $50 for shipping. Now it's time to work on my slice.
I was disappointed love the concept and the auto features from 6v to 48v the versatility and smart voltage sensing was an excellent
Amazon is sending a replacement
Giving it a 2 star and hope I just received a dud.
I will be certain to leave a 5 stare for the replacement as long as it works for an extended period of time.
