Worked in NEX-6; then went DEAD after 3 months
on September 10, 2013
UPDATE on December 30, 2013: This battery is now dead. It's been in the wall charger, which indicates that it's fully charged. But when I put it into my NEX-6 camera, the camera will not power on. The camera does power on when the original Sony brand battery is inserted. I should have stuck with my preference for OEM brand batteries instead of buying this one. Now this one is destined for the recycling center, and I'll be purchasing a genuine Sony brand battery to replace it.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I generally buy the OEM brand battery for my cameras, but this time I went for the less expensive brand for my new NEX-6. This battery has charged up just fine and works just fine in my NEX-6, including the camera's displaying the charge percentage of the battery. This off-brand battery may not go as long on a charge, and it may not have as many charge/discharge cycles in its lifetime, as the Sony branded battery does. Well, at the price they're asking for it, the Sony brand battery should be darn near immortal. I'll probably buy another one of these off-brand batteries before I take my camera traveling. With 2 of these plus the OEM battery, I should have enough battery power on hand.
