As a gigging musician your hands should be focused on playing music. Not turning pages. Smartphones and tablets have made it easier to carry your charts and lyrics, but you still have to take your hands off of your instrument to change pages.
Well, you used to...Introducing STOMP. STOMP is a Bluetooth 4.0 page turner and app controller for your iPad, iPhone, Android, Mac, or Windows Bluetooth 4.0 device, that enables you to control any app with the just the tap of your foot. If you use charts, lyric sheets, digital set lists, backing tracks, or metronomes, let STOMP simplify your performance.
With just a tap of your foot:
- Turn. flip or scroll through the pages on your setlist or sheet music.
- Start and stop your metronome.
- Trigger backing tracks.
- Change slides in powerpoint or presentation software.
- And a bunch more.
If you use an app or software that accepts keyboard commands, STOMP lets you keep your hands on your instrument, giving you a flawless performance.
STOMP is the most rugged, durable, and reliable app controller on the market, making it the obvious choice for professionals and hobbyists alike. Unlike all of the other page turners made of cheap plastic, STOMP is 100% made in America and housed in a solid metal enclosure. It’s rugged enough to be run over by a truck, so it will handle any gig, night after night. Just throw it in your bag or attach it to your pedalboard and go off to the next gig.
STOMP is powered by a standard long-lasting 9v battery or 9VDC power. It features 4 different modes that work seamlessly with the top apps on the market. Repeat mode to scroll quickly through your set list or a long song. You can activate your device's virtual keyboard to take notes by pressing both switches simultaneously. And maybe best of all - when connected to 9VDC power STOMP will charge your smartphone or tablet, so you'll never have to worry about running out of juice while you’re performing again.
Whether you’re a solo artist playing coffee shops, weddings, or performing at home, or you’re in a band, orchestra, cover band, church worship team, or are a studio session player, STOMP will improve your performance and creativity by letting you keep your hands on your instrument.

* mushy pedal switches (AirTurn and page flip)
* not plug and play (AirTurn)
* mode switches easily triggered accidentally (donner)
* low battery life and does not accept batteries
By far the worst was the donner. It seems like a great pedal but during the middle of a set I accidentally changed modes with my foot and my chord chart app freaked out. I had to stop playing and bend down to reset the pedal. I’ve never played with it again because that is totally unacceptable.
This pedal has great tactile feedback, has real switches and is very durable. I put in a battery and was playing in less than a minute. The mode buttons are recessed which makes it almost impossible to change accidentally. It works perfectly and looks great too. My only gripe is that you need a screwdriver to access the battery, but with a 150 hour battery life and a low battery indicator at 25% I doubt I’ll be left with a dead pedal. I plan to replace the battery as soon as I get a red indicator. I have tested it on my iPad Pro with OnSong and songbook chordpro and they both work flawlessly.
I highly recommend this pedal to anyone who wants hands free page turns.
This unit is new and I haven't gigged with it, but I have practiced with it and taken it to rehearsal. This is a total game changer for me. The quality feels really good in this unit but time will tell. As of right now Coda Music Tech has made me a loyal customer and I am looking forward to more of their products to come!
We play live once or twice a week, usually at churches, and I have amassed several large binders of music. For any particular event, I need to pull out the music for the set list we're playing, and hope that the band leader doesn't call any audibles (I sight read, but can't memorize sequences)
Over the Christmas break, I decided to move to digital. I researched bluetooth page turners, and this one was the best solution for me, even though it's not the cheapest.
Battery power, with 9v option. Because, options. I can't see myself powering my tablet from it, but nice to know that I could if I wanted.
Build quality is solid. Metal box - I'm not dainty, so I wanted something I could stand on.
Availability - The lights turn off after a few minutes, but even so - if I press the button, the page turns immediately. I don't need to tickle it to turn it on before it will respond.
Nothing really. I could have saved $10 by buying directly from the manufacturer, but it's only $10. I'm still a happy customer.
Remember that you'll also need software (it doesn't come with any), and a holder. Tablet holders (Amazon Basics are fine) are about $12. For software, I use 'Music Stand', which is written by the same company as Planning Center, and integrates with it.
For setup, I put it on my tiny pedal board (see photo). The only reason I have that board is so that all pedals are all in the same relative position every time I need to play.
Enter the STOMP! Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but of the box, the Stomp connected to my iPad Pro (you need Bluetooth 4!) first time and every time after. It’s a tank with silent, heavy-duty guitar stomp box style switches (I’m guessing that’s the source of the name) that feel right underfoot...and, when wired, IT CHARGES MY IPAD! The other three buttons are flush and immune to accidental foot pressing, but easy to access with a finger. I leave my power supply (optional) under the piano at church, and use it battery powered for warmup/rehearsals. Parked next to my damper pedal, it stays put fairly well, although I’m pondering keeping a roll of gaffers tape handy to add a bit to anchor it. In conclusion, I’m already getting comfortable using it, and I’m finally able to commit to becoming more paper-free! If you’re tired of this struggle as I was, consider the Stomp. Over all, I have to say this is the one! Well done, Coda Tech!!
