I decided to risk it with this spoiler since Amazons return policy is so good, but definitely wont take advantage of it. Some spoilers are abs plastic that are coated with carbon fiber but this one is not. It's 100% solid carbon fiber. It looks identical to the performance spoiler for shape and size. Fitment is 100% perfect, not even a slight gap anywhere. Instructions are included along with cleaning wipes and adhesion promoter. I would like to offer additional advice.
If you trunk is waxed remove it. Just needs to be done on the edge. Dish soap and water will remove it.
Use all the cleaning wipes. Wet then dry, wet, dry, wet, then dry.
Use both adhesion promoters.
Remove a couple inches of the red backing from the center of the spoiler on both sides and place it down as instructed. It will hold it in place lightly but you can pull it up to adjust it.
Measure 5" from the end of the spoiler to the edge of the trunk lid on both sides.
Once you have it centered pull all the red backing and press the spoiler down
Use the included tape and put down multiple pieces over the spoiler. Go overboard with this. Make sure to press the edges down well
When researching spoilers it seemed nobody took rear photos at spoiler level so I included a few with this review. It's minimalistic and looks great. It's pretty crazy you can get a real carbon fiber spoiler delivered in two days for under $200.
**edit* Its been installed for 11 months and its still perfect. The finish hasn't degraded and the edges haven't pulled up at all. Looks perfect.
