This is probably THE WORST air pump I ever bought! First off the sound is extremely bad! See video. I bought this to rotate my pumps, take ones that were older out of circulation to be used as extra pumps for smaller tanks or Incase of emergency. This thing is huge so I thought least the performance would be great it’s running 4 small sponge filters in 3 different SMALL tanks biggest being one 10 gallon the other 2 are 5s so it’s not like they are deep aquarium they are just for my bettas. I’m not at all impressed with the flow rate at all considering they are directly hooked up to each filter with only a safety valve between it and the filters. Then there is this HORRIBLE deafening sound AND it’s hot to the touch! I don’t know how much longer I can use this thing! It’s awful! I have towel under it and around it just to try and quiet it a bit! But it’s driving me nuts I can’t imagine how my poor fish feel. I’m probably gonna have to disconnect it sooner then later. HATE IT! Won’t be buying ever again! One my older pumps was starting to get loud so when this arrived I was glad to take that one out of circulation then I hooked this up... well now the other one seems like a beautiful babbling brook sound compared to this terrible extremely loud even my neighbors can hear it noise! Just AWFUL on all levels! Waste of money!
UPDATE: immediately after writing this review I decided I could no longer take this noise anymore luckily I had also purchased another name brand pump to have for emergencies as I have several tanks that one has only 2 outlets now everything is quiet AND the SAME filters (4 sponges) that were running on this 4 outlet pump were boiling I had to install control valves to lessen the flow. So yea this pump is THE WORST I ever purchased. Unfortunately I threw the box out so I will keep “Incase” of emergency if one of my other pumps dies UNTIL I can get a replacement, be only time I’ll run it. I just hope if that happens I don’t plug this one in and it’s dead or something! I haven’t had it long but when I unplugged it, it was EXTREMELY hot SMH!

Great for hydroponics. Puts out a lot of air compared to other options, less heat, and less noise.

I had originally gotten a higher output pump, but the square metal style. It put out a ton of air, but was very very noisy, and ran super hot (could burn your hand). This puts out about half as much air, but 1/10th as loud, and just slightly warm.

I would prefer this have 2 outputs, and more air to each output, but it is what it is.

Was worried about the noise from another reviewer, but they must have gotten a manufacturing error, because this pump isn't silent, but it's not close to as loud as a phone vibrating (and is silent if you turn it all the way down)

Pro's:
+ Very low noise (about the same as the 5LPM little units, but 15LPM- hums audibly 10ft from it in the same room)
+ Low heat, and power used

Cons:
- Would prefer more air output per line, but works good enough compared to hot, loud units
- Looks a little dated design wise. Looks fine, but in the pictures, looks like it was designed in the 70s.

Overall great for hydroponics, and probably would be great for fish.

This air pump is rather big, much bigger than I expected and bigger than any other air pump I have used so far. That being said, this is the most powerful air pump I have ever seen. I was able to replace 3 other pumps with this single air pump, and with just a few hours running, it has actually cleared up the water in my 50g tank. I'm floored! My fish love the more intense bubbles, and I'm loving that I can control the intensity with the easy twist knob. I will 100% buy this air pump again. :)

I don't have any fish and use it for DIY PCB etching. It has 4 independent outputs (meaning you can connect one or two leaving others open), just two outputs of this unit create 4 times more bubbles and intense circulation in my etching tank than the older unit on the picture. So for just couple more bucks you get 8 times more air output.

The only disadvantage is a bit loud noise! But what would you expect for the price? I don't care much of this aspect since I only run it for 30 min and it is still quieter than the compressor in my fridge.

I was very sceptical for such a generic product at such a cheap price and only one review, but I took a gamble. I showed up in a box covered written Chinese writing and images of it airing up a mattresses and stuff. It is better built than I expected, feels like good plastic, with metal air outlets. When I first plugged it in, it was extremely loud and I was very disappointed, but after a days use, it quieted down significantly. I still wouldn't want to sleep next to it, but my refrigerator is louder than the pump now. It puts out a ton of air and has a working adjustment knob. If you need an air pump and are on a budget, I would absolutely recommend this.

Wow this pump really puts out some air at first then as time goes on it starts to slow down on the airflow also it starts to get louder and louder as time goes on the vibration and the noise or something else the other thing is the feet constantly fall off almost as though the pump needs more places to pull air so it pushes the feet off so it can suck more air in this is just an observation of sitting there watching at the fish tank and seeing your pump that you have higher than your fish tank start to rattle and fall off the shelf again you get what you pay for
