The only down fall so far that I've found was "tow" On my 2008 Silverado there's no option for light tow, just heavy tow which requires 91+ Octane. Other than that my truck now feels like it should've all along. Positive shifts and Alot more throttle response. No more annoying delay. Also was able to correct tire size and turn off the stupid 4 cylinder mode.

Purchased the tuner and tried out the 93 octane tune, 87 octane tune. Saw marginal differences in performance. 2 weeks later my driver side power window stopped working. I thought it might be a bad motor or button and was going to look at it later.
A couple days later I go for a short drive to the store and get out of the truck and try to remote lock it and no response. Truck was completely non responsive to ignition cycle, remote buttons and any other lock buttons.
At this point I thought the truck computer was fried... I came back from the store 20 min later and manually unlocked the truck and all of a sudden it was back to normal.
I proceeded to reinstall the stock tune on the truck before it did anything else funny and my power windows started operating normally again!
It’s safe to say I will be packaging it up and sending back for a full refund.

Purchased this for my Chevy truck and it did not work, when I returned the product it was in great condition the only thing was that it was taken out of the box but had no damage because it was returned one day after it arrived, they have a 20% restocking fee for an item returned with no damage however I was only given a 50% refund and the seller never replied to any of my messages. Waste of both time and money

Good for 8.1 with 4L80E in 03 2500 Yukon

Very easy to use. Flashed my 8.1 Vortec in my 03 2500 Yukon. I always run premium because I mostly tow with it so I put the 91 Octane Performance Tune on it right out of the box and I noticed a little quicker sweep through first and second and noticably crisper shifts. There's still adjustability left to further firm the shifts, which I'll play with till I like it.
I haven't tried the towing tune yet to comment on that.

Very cleanly executed, easy to use and effective product. I'd pay full price for it again for a different platform if I ever change trucks.

10/27/21 update
Ive been using this a lot longer now and am even happier. Ive found the shift pressures that Im happy with and I have the ability to reenable the Upshift Torque Management setting when I flash to tow mode. Ive used all the modes and while I didnt notice a significant difference in the fuel milage setting, I do notice performance mode and towing mode. I dont expect fuel milage improvements owning an 8.1.
I would like the option of being able to used dial in up to +4 or +5 degrees of timing to fine tune performance mode: but Im pleased with this as a its a daily driver and a tow vehicle.
I'd still buy one again.

I was able to adjust speedometer for bigger tires and improve shifts, also allows to disable FM to disable. Did not improve highway mileage and does not allow to adjust TPMS. Since installation traction control light and check engine lights illuminate from time to time. Traction control goes off by itself but not the check engine light which varies on the codes.

WIll not work with CNG bi-fuel truck

I called and asked superchips tech support if this tuner would work with my CNG truck PRIOR to ordering it and they said it would. Received tuner, updated it as per instructions, plugged it into the truck, and "NO APPLICABLE SOFTWARE FOR THIS VEHICLE" message on the screen. Called superchips tech support, and they checked the VIN, and said sorry, no tuner for this truck. Wasted my time!

Installed on my 2016 Chevy Duramax and it made this thing come alive! I installed the Performance tune and it really made the throttle response quick and shifting through the gears faster as I hammered down on the throttle. I've always used the Banks on my previous diesels but am blown away by the Superchips tuner. Be aware that removing the speed limiter also disables your engine brake and cruise control so I left mine enabled. I really only wanted the extra power for accelerating onto the interstate and overtaking slower vehicles which is where the Duramax really lacks because of the slow throttle response.

I would suggest buying it from somewhere else, The tuner came in a very beat up, already opened box. The tuner and all the cables where unwrapped and crammed in the box, and the tuner had scratches on it and the screen cover looked like it was tapped on. The tuner works fine though, I guess that’s what matters, just seems like it was already used and returned and they just threw it back into the box. Missing the carrying bag for it as well. Wish I could have spent the few hundred At a different place.
