It’s a beautiful umbrella and open and closing mechanism works okay. But it does not close and fold into nice creases and is rather a wadded up mess.- To try strap it in. I will probably be looking for a different one.

We had some crazy rain for awhile here so I thought I'd order the first umbrella I've owned in probably a decade or more. No sooner do I have it in hand than the rain storms have passed or are so mild that it isn't really worth using an umbrella. Oh well! I'm sure they'll roll around again.

I read some reviews myself and people said that the open/close button was pretty strong, and they were right. I didn't want to whang myself in the face with it so I pushed the button and carefully eased it open. Honestly, I don't think it opened properly when I did that - I think it needs the momentum. So, I closed it, held it a safe distance from myself, and hit the button again. It just about jumped out of my hand, it was so strong. But it did flex itself into the right shape with the force of its opening and seemed like a sturdy umbrella. The button also closes it, which is a new one for me, so just make sure you experiment a bit so you know how it works before you're trying to get the thing open/closed in the middle of a rainstorm.

It claims to be good in the wind, but I haven't tested it for that. I did give the little metal ribs that hold it together a bit of a wiggle and it didn't seem too flimsy, so time will tell. It is made of some kind of plastic material, but it seems to be pretty heavy duty. It does fold up to a nice and small size for convenience.

I have now owned two of these umbrellas. The first one had an issue where it was really difficult to close (it required so much force that it actually hurt my arms). I contacted the seller and they were really nice/helpful, they sent out a replacement immediately. And while the replacement is noticeably better, both umbrellas could definitely be improved and I feel like they have a couple of design issues.

When you first push the button, the umbrella OPENS so fast and so forcefully that it feels like a little explosion. It's pretty cool but it makes me worry that it will eventually break down and stop working. When you press the button a second time, the umbrella comes inwards (which also happens very fast/forcefully), and then you have to push the top and bottom together to lock it closed. While the replacement umbrella is easier to lock shut than the first one was, it still requires more effort than I'd like - it feels like it's resisting/pushing back against you. Again, it makes me worry that it will eventually stop working, due to all of the pressure being put on it.

The umbrella itself works well in rain and the quality of the material is good. It also comes with a little cloth storage bag, which is very nice. The size is just about perfect, too.

I like this umbrella - and I especially appreciated the customer service I received. But I do worry about its longevity when opening/closing it feels like shooting a shotgun, and locking it requires actual physical effort. Still, a solid umbrella and definitely worth the price.

Love this item! Wraps up super compact, but is still a great size with perfect coverage for the rain. The material is very nice; it is thicker than any umbrella I have used in the past, which I personally like. Definitely appreciate that the handle has a tie at the end for those of us who like to carry them on our wrists. It comes with a little sleeve for traveling, which I do appreciate, but I am pretty sure I lost that little guy the day after I got it. #UmbrellaElvesAtItAgain...

My fav part: THE STARRY SKY DESIGN! I didn't even know they made umbrellas with such cool designs like this these days. (Uh oh... am I old?)

I've only used it once so far but I was in a pretty good downpour and this nicely sized umbrella (40'/101.5cm diameter) kept the top half of me nice and dry (the rain splashing up from the ground got my pant legs quite wet but that is no fault of the umbrella). There were a few wind gusts and the umbrella did not turn inside out as my old umbrella definitely would have. I am happy with this umbrella.
