Great light view, not so good longevity

I waited to write this because I wanted to see how long they lasted and give a better and more accurate rating. Well the first one I replaced just shy of a complete year ago missing by just about a week to the date burnt out. I absolutely loved the better viewing and whiter light on these compared to my stock 07' Grand Prix bulbs! I drive a half hour daily during the night 5 days a week and depending on how often I just run with running lights during day which is easily 80%, they are not used during daytime trips for half hour to work. Hopefully this gives an idea of longevity for you. They definitely help me see deer and other animals much better which is great! I am replacing with the old until next one burns out and will have to think if I want to spend $40 for just bulbs again. Large price for such a short term considering it's just a bulb set. I will be looking to see what else is out there. Its a shame because performance for visibility it's a solid 5 for this type of bulb in my opinion. Longevity is a 3 at best.

Whiter color-can see much better than stock bulbs

I purchased these to replace the low-beam headlights on my wife's 2014 Ford Explorer. The color is much whiter than the stock bulbs and lights up the road really well. The truck also looks better with the whiter, cleaner looking lights coming from it rather than the yellowish stock bulbs.

These are a bit more than an OEM replacement but I always feel like this is one area that is worth spending a bit more for safety. I've been using Sylvania Silverstar and Silverstar Ultra headlights for years now and I don't use anything else when I have to replace headlights whether they are my own or if I am doing it for a family member or friend.

Spend a bit more, see more and be safer.

I noticed one low beam headlight out on my car and found these- happy I did - shipped quickly.

This is a fairly simple maintenance or upgrade that you can complete on your own -

These bulbs are sold at a fair price and makes you feel good that you can save a trip to the mechanic for more technical issues.

I am happy with the clarity and brightness of the bulbs.

I wore gloves to avoid getting hand oils on the lenses which may shorten their lifespan.

If you change one, change BOTH; the other bulb isn’t far behind .

I was careful not to overly twist any wires and took my time with the replacement,,,they are removed and put back with a 1/4 twist - just take your time and don’t force anything.

I was hoping that the high price meant that they would last longer than 51 weeks. Also these are not covered by the Sylvania warranty since they are not "sold by Amazon" Purchases made on Amazon.com
must state: ‘ships from and sold by Amazon.com’ in order to be considered an authorized retailer. I am not going to replace these with the same type. Moving on to another manufacturer. They are bright and easy to install.

These will NOT fit a 2001 Lexus RX 300 SUV for Low Beam. I had to return them, as my vehicle takes HID bulbs D2R only for low beam headlights.
I am giving them a good rating because I bought the 9005 same type for my high beams and they were perfect , and Amazon was great about taking these back and refunded me.
