It's been less than six months since I bought this and although the player worms fine the remote is shot...nothing works on it. A new remote would be great but I don't know how to get one.
I recommended this unit to a friend at same time I bought my first unit - their unit has also developed the same "NO DISK" issue.
Considering the purchase price of this unit I certainly should perform for more than six months. This unit is a complete pass do not purchase. The units that I had were used only by myself, had lens cleaning done once a month, and only disks ever played in unit were purchased new.
The purchase was due to my being mad that there are certain 3D movies and/or steelbooks that are not released in the U.S. (Region A/1), but are released in places like the UK, which is region B. And although one of my Panasonic blu ray players has played a couple non region A movies from Germany in the past by using some tricks, it seems it will ONLY play German region B films, and not the UK specific 3D movies (like Ratatouille). And I just found out that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt. 2 was released all over the world in 3D, both in theaters and blu ray...everywhere except the U.S.
So I've purchased quite a few region B movies over the last year hoping they would play in my U.S. Panasonic blu ray player, just to get angry when they didn't. So I said screw it and bought this region-free player. I've had it for about a month and have watched numerous movies with it, and it works perfectly when playing region A and region B movies, including region B 3D. I don't own any region C/3, so I can't speak for those, but since this player has done everything else it says it will do, I have no doubt that region C would be no problem.
I did not receive this product for free or at a discounted price. My review is based solely on personal use and experience with the product. So buy with confidence. If you have any questions regarding this product, don't hesitate to ask.
I saw a half sheet of paper. On this loose sheet were the instructions for foreign films. I called Amazon and told them that this half sheet
should have been stapled to the pamphlet. It is just too easy to lose. The box should also say that the player is compatible with foreign films.

After receiving the unit, I read the documentation and it states that it only plays Region 1 DVD's. I specifically bought it to take to Europe for all region use. Read morePublished 5 months ago by MAX MAYBEWITT
