would i recommend this book? i will
McMinimy books follow suit in the same manner. She transports the reader to a place beyond the imagination, for fantasy lovers its a place only they can dream of. You have dragons, fairies, mermaids, nymphs and scared quests all flowing in this story and there is even romance for those who love being in love, :)
In Sacred Fire the focus is more on Aiden, Ava's brother and the new rightful King of Aurora. He has not yet grasped all the powers he has come to acquire like his sister but he does have an affinity to water and fire. I know kind of ironic right? To be the best at opposing elements, but very cool at the same time. Aiden must go on a quest with the feisty and snarky Dragon Rider Thea, his best friend Nick and a Nature Nymph companion Oliver. The quest is the last hope to save the Dragon population and their riders and its also Aiden's chance to prove that he can be a good leader and find himself in the process.
Aiden's character has many facets, he is caring, compassionate, determined and headstrong but he is also doubtful and at times worried that he doesn't belong or fit in well. I think this makes him even more lovable as a character in Sacred Fire. Aiden shows his vulnerability and its something we the reader can connect with. Thea, whom I adore, the little spitfire is Aiden's match in this book. She challenges him and cares for him so deeply and we learn so much more about her in this book. Together the two make a pair that is unstoppable. They are a fortitude of strength in this journey and will do anything to save their land and their people.
By the end I became even more invested in this awesome group of characters. I love the friendship and dedication they have to each other which is why, and I WON'T spoil it, the ending is a bit of a shocker, sad in a way but also an opening for the next exciting chapter in this series.
Awesome read, once again!
The dragons and riders need help. Aiden, Nick, Thea, and Oliver set out on the Dragon quest. Only Aiden and Thea end up completing the quest, but they are the 2 dragon riders in the group. What they learn about their feelings for each other and about each other in those weeks/months is amazing. You see their love for one another grow. You get to see that they both really do love each other, but are both too damn stubborn to tell the other how they feel. Will it be too late for what they want to say to one another, when an ex shows up alive?
I love this series and love seeing the characters all grow into their new roles, whether it's king and queen, warrior, rider, their magic. I couldn't put the book down and now I can't wait for a 3rd book.
Although all of the characters of book one are in this book it is centered around Aiden and his journey through Aurora. How he's dealing with being king and his personal relationships.
I fell in love with her on the Twins of Aurora book one of this series. This book was even better than the last. Every time I thought the plot would zig it zagged. I have yet to find a fantasy/paranormal author like Magen. Her work is always amazing. I am patiently waiting on the release of book 3 and am enjoying her other books in the mean time.
Thank you for writing an amazing series and giving me a new world to escape to.
This is Aiden's story, and it's truly exceptional. The journey he takes and the struggles he encounters are exciting, dramatic and thrilling. The character arcs are completely fulfilled, and just when you think you are going to hate a character forever, McMinimy makes you fall in love.
The world McMinimy has created is rich in mythology and the characters are fully fleshed out. If you loved Twins of Aurora, you will love Sacred Fire even more. You should run out and get this book. REally, so much fun!!
